Shapeways has filed for Ch7 and gone under. Reconstituted in Europe as Maneuvo, but haven't determined if it's operating yet. Likely even more expensive though. Sorry to see it go, as it was a good source for rarities and stuff not practical for GHQ to produce. Civic has been hard on the industry.

Covid isn't what killed it. Cheaper printers and the pick up of resin 3D printers by many hobbyists. The big downside is unless the designers make their files or prints available elsewhere our selection goes. However, with time it seems you can find many of the stl files or alternate sources of the minis. Just search 3D prints or stl of your desired object. Give it a month or two if nothing and try again.

I was sad to see them go. I have a 3D printer but it's a filament printer and I can't get the kind of detail with it that I want. I'm hoping there are viable alternatives out there.

i never got to use Shapeways before acquiring a Ender 3 Printer. But I have found most of my Canadian Military stuff on Thingiverse. Getting them to print in 1/285 scale is tricky to do.

Redleg, one of my boys did some printing for me on a resin printer. It still isn't GHQ quality, but it's pretty good when you keep in mind GHQ detail is sometimes exaggerated so you can see it. He ran MBT70 hulls and turrets off 54 at a time, 2 hours per batch. You can make a lot of tanks on a Saturday like that. Tanks, APCs, M577s, Bradleys, trucks. Find the stl for it, scale it, and you're set. I think this coming year is the year I will learn to 3D print.

I know a few people who do resin 3D printing. But it is a hobby, or lifestyle, by itself. So much to learn and so much materials and potential waste to learn how. I just have a couple locals know how to do it and if I supply, or guide them to the stl files, they charge me about half what a metal or cast model costs most times.

I like both the AH56 and a S67. I think I need another battalion of each. Hoefully, next year I will learn to do it. Or Jeff will have time to do it for me. The problem is, I have a lot of asks - 3 battalions of M113s, 3battalions of XM723s, 2 battalions of GM XM1s, 54 XM800 ARSV, 108 XM8s, Boxers, ACVs, M109A7, M109A6, oh, you name it. Need some AH64 battalions, at least 2 Divarties, AS90s, Panzerhaubitze. I see no solution but learning to print or winning the lottery...
