I have cancer
Hi everyone
Well my time has come I guess. Stag 4 so time is short for me.
I been buying Ghq since I was 16 and have few hundred lbs of the stuff.
Been a great run. Can’t complain
I remembered as a kid spending my whole paycheck at the hobby store on GHQ items.
At one time I had ever Tiger I ever made lol
Every U.S. major warship made
Over the years I had sold off bit by bit only to purchase new GHQ items.
Well it’s time to sell what I can to help pay for treatment. It’s the co-pay that’s $$$
Nickel and dime sure adds up
I don’t know if it still allow but I’m sell all 1/285 mini for $ 1 ea. + shipping
Just let me know
Also have items listed on eBay at fair prices
eBay hummel150
Email me
Nashorn88@yahoo
Thanks for any support

Re: I have cancer
Dear nashorn, First off Merry Christmas and carpe diem, I can't really add much to that.
However I do want you to know that your beautiful and inspirational work on that K2PL a little while ago set me on a path I was not planning on!
After much trial and error and re-inventing the wheel many times over, I ended up building my own what if Imagi-Nation MBT. This was a direct result of seeing your post of what could be done.
I am in no way an artist or skilled in the dark arts of 3d printing, it was very much a stop-go project over the last year with a house move in between (still ongoing lol) but it was your spark of creativity that gave me the "push" we all sometimes need.
I think I will call it the Rhino or the Hornet if you don't mind.

Poor photo of one of the prototypes. I did buy a STL file to get what I wanted to go on the turret (it looked way better than my versions of APS in the long run). A bit of chopping, cutting, resizing and joining together. Not GHQ quality but cutting edge for my ability with a mix of other free resourses.
None have made it to paint yet, soon I hope.
Mick.

I do enjoy seeing your vehicles and ships when you post them. You have a great talent for this.

Ironically, I just found out I have cancer too. Mine is CLL leukemia. I don't know what stage yet; I see the oncologist Jan 6th.

Good luck everyone….. what is GHQ going do without us.
Just thankful GOD allow me to live as long as I did.
I feel so sad when I see younger people at the chemo center.
I can’t ask for any more.
Bless to have family and friends and GHQ too….. just so much fun collecting and trading and playing over the years.
May GOD grant you all peace and guess I’ll see you guys on the other side one day hopefully long time from now….

Re: I have cancer
Nash,
Every since my moms passing from cancer, its been hard to read story's on other people suffering from the same condition. Even more so when its a story about someone I have interacted with, if only briefly. My heart weighs heavy on this news and I find it hard to call upon the right worlds. With that said, I will try. I wish you peace and comfort as you move forward. I will pray and hope for a miracle, however remote it may be. Though we do not know each other, beyond a few thread exchanges, you have positively effected my life through your post, advice and work. From my family to yours, I offer my thoughts and prayers.
To all,
It is sobering to hear that others, from the forum, are struggling with the same medical condition on different levels. I started on this forum, sometime around 2010, after a long brake from the hobby. Over the last 14 years, you all have effected my life and my involvement with the hobby. I also pray and hope that you all have the best outcome possible with what you are going through.
