What Cambinda? No dice. Our SF guys got caught with there pants down there in the early eighties. The goverment had deforested most of it so it is rolling grass and a few clumps of bush. Most of the LPs have also been removed so as to take away any threat to the oil.
Angola is now very quiet after the death of Savimbi and is slowly standing back up. The people are sick of war and of their country being the battleground of foreign nations. The Unita and MPLA oaks are now working together. I am planning to travel there later this year to visit some of the battlefields. Will make a report as soon as I return.
