HAving seen GHQ's new WZ501 Chinese IFV. I can't see a difference between it and thier BMP-1 model......Can someone please enlighten?

Just the paint job...... In the pictures they appear the same to me as well.

They are the same model. We did this because some people had inquired in the past and didn't know that they were the same. We aren't trying to pull a fast one, as Fulcrum noted, the paint job is the only difference.

No, the vehicles may look similar (in fact they share the basic layout) to some people but if you look closer you will find out the difference between them.

The Chinese WZ551 isn't a license built VAB 6x6 or so, it is a Chinese design with lots of variants.

No, it is not the same model. The only models that are the same are the WZ501 and BMP-1.

The WZ 501 looks very nice. I was fortunate to see it and some other models at Historicon 2006.
