I have seen it somewhere but can't remember, getting old. Does anyone know where I can find a gunnery/effects chart. Example 16" vs 15" range penetration etc.
Thanks,
Wayne

Mobius has written a small program to calculate gunnery effects, I believe. It can be found on his website: www.panzer-war.com

I'm not quite clear what you're asking. Are you asking about the penetration of a land system fired at 15" or 16" from the target or are you asking about the difference in capability of 15" and 16" naval guns at varying ranges?

It helps if you further specify the time period. Shells ballistics improved from WWI to WWII. Or what ships do you want to compare?="mmi80" Ok, guess I wasn't specific enough. There is some good info on the web sites. I guess what I'm looking for is lets say there is a BB mounting 15" guns engaged with a BB mounting 12.5's what would the engagement ranges be, penetration capabilities and the like. Hope this helps.

While not directly answering your question I found an interesting page on the NavWeaps site dealing with Naval gunnery. http://www.navweaps.com/index_inro/INRO ... ery_p2.htm

Here's a table of penetration data.
http://www.geocities.com/kop_mic/
This is compiled from the same equations by Nathan Okun that are used in my computer program.
If you want to compare ships you can just download my Seas of War game rules tables and compare the ship data there. The rules use the data from these tables.
