Been trying to get decent results painting n-scale models. Trouble is the colors are not quite right. Seems you need to scale those down as well. But, what to use to tone down dark and light colors? White seems to work with light colors, but how do you tone down a dark color without changing its shade?

I'm mainly using citadel colors because I also use them for SF/fantasy figures. I'm working on transitional models so that I can use them on a european layout.
