I have the Northwest Europe book and my buddy has the Russia and North Africa books.
These were the rules we started with back in the 70's and we got many years of fun out of them and then we moved on to lots of other rules to get "more" realistic but to my mind these were never as playable and fun.
The main problem was the trying to mix Featherstone and Quarrie as the charts did not match each other.
I have been trying off and on for the last few years to combine them, I usally get back to this after play some other rule set.

I remember that Bruce Quarrie's books were very different in character from Featherstone's: much more complex, lots of tables, offering a rule system and so on. Featherstone, as always, preferred to encourage us to think for ourselves, concentrating on the character of armoured warfare, while making suggestions for how certain aspects of combat, or communications, or logistics, or surprise could be simulated.
Featherstone even (politely) lamented Quarrie's approach in "Tank Battles in Miniature: 4 A wargamer's guide to the Mediterranean Campaigns 1943–1945"
While of nostaligic value for me (and slowly accumulating financial value too, I notice) these two volumes are full of useful and relevant information and detail.

Another book that is very similar in presentation is Battles with Model Tanks by Don Featherstone and Keith Robinson. It was copyrighted in 1979 and published by Macdonald and Jane’s Publishers Limited.
All are available from various vendors at www.AddAll.com. However, the prices asked for TBiM 1-3 are definitely on the high end.
