TerrainMaker hexes

Post by Bullshot »

Hi all,

I normally use Elmer's glue (white glue) to attach flock and static grass to my models. I am gearing up to do some Terrain Maker hexes and I have a question. The white glue will contract as it dries and can cause warpage on non-rigid items, such as foamcore. Are the 1/2" hexes thick enough to avoid that warpage? Is there some other tpye of glue I can use for it? I read the tutorial and how GHQ uses the paint to secure the flock, but I have never really had good luck with that. I tend to get less shedding if I use the glue. I still plan to paint the hexes first, but I was planning on using the glue to hold the flock in place. Spray adhesives are not really a viable solution for me since the wife has a bird that is sensitive to aerosols sprayed in the house and I have no place outside that isn't cold to work on the stuff. Thanks for any help or information.

BS
