Hell in the Pacific at HMGS South Recon 07
As posted previously all the South Florida Miniatures Gamers scenarios this year at Recon will share a common theme. Better, each Naval encounter will bare direct affect upon the land based scenarios. The first of five scenarios is a replay of the popular Bloody Ridge scenario run last year. It is a 28mm slugfest and will feature an expanded table and hundreds of TAG figures. You won’t want to miss this one.
Over the next two days we will run the following four scenarios.
Savo Island – The 1/2400 scale naval battle in the Solomon Islands will have a profound influence on the conduct of the ** CENSORED ** battles to follow in Eimen Shima. It will feature Paul Robinson’s beautifully painted GHQ naval miniatures which have won best of show at HMGS South cons in the past. Hosted by Paul Robinson & Vince Stella
Eimen Shima (Death Island) – The entire Henderson field and Tenaru River area will be featured in a massive re-fight of the early battles on ** CENSORED **. It will feature GHQ miniatures and land, sea and air combat. Hosted by Bill Moreno
Komandorski Island – Once again Paul will sortie his collection of GHQ 1/2400 naval vessels. This time the fight is in the cold North Pacific. The outcome will decide whether the Japanese in the Aleutians are fighting for victory or simply for the glory of the Bushido code. Hosted by Paul Robinson & Vince Stella
Gunshin Wakure Rareru (The God of War has Forgotten Us) – Attu in the freezing cold Aleutian Islands is the scene for this battle featuring GHQ miniatures once more. The aircraft mix is an interesting feature in this fight and included an eclectic mix of less famous Japanese types and aging American fighters not suitable for more prominent battlefields. The terrain is absolutely impressive and the players will enjoy this unique gaming experience. Hosted by Bill Moreno, Paul Robinson & Jeff Baumal

Bill,
It's too dang bad that the "spammers" have gotten to the place where people who run this message board have to use "spell checkers" to weed out words that contain certain letter combinations, such as "Guadal - can - al" and "an - a - lysis"...
And how long before "they" (the spammers) start typing them in the way I did here? GRRRRRR!
Regards,
Tom

Bill,
I plan to be there at Recon. I'll make sure I come by to check out the games. I'll be busy on and off helping with the set-up, registration and so on, so I'm not sure exactly what games I will be playing yet. But, they all sound great. Too many choices and not enough time to game!
Thanks for heads-up on the games and I look forward to seeing (and maybe playing) some of these games.
The month of May just can't get here quick enough!

Two of the games should be right up your alley Scott.
Savo Island
Komandorski Islands
Both are of the "gut bustin', muther luvin' Navy War" variety.
