I need pictures of trees!

Post by voltigeur »

:o

Yes I said I need pictures of trees.

I was wonering if any former soldiers deployed to Germany or any of the Germans that read this forum could post pics of the manicured forest in that country? I was tolking with a former soldier and he was saying these manicured forest allow pleanty of room for armor to manuver and you can get long range observation and fire lanes through them.

I can see them on the sattelite photos. The trees are very clearly planted in need long rows. I can't find a picture at ground level of what I would be modeling.

I know this is a wierd request but a pic would be so helpful.

Thanks! will buy a couple of rounds when I finally make it to Germany.

The trees I saw in Germany were like you described. I'll have to take some pictures of the trees the next time I'm in Adams- Freindship county Wisconsin. The same kind of trees there. As a matter of fact quite a few places in Wisconsin remind me of Germany.

Hi there,
i´m a german and if you want, I can make some pictures of our woods for you. We have some woods with lot of space between the trees and some with lot of brushes (is this the right word?). So you can´t move inside.

That would be great! From what my friend has described these typs of woods will require special handling in the rules. I wold love to see what I'm modeling. I can see the manicured forest on the satellite images but can seem to wrap my mind around what they look like on the ground. All the forest I've been in here in the states has been totally wild and unkept.

We also have a bunch of pines that have been manicured not too far from where I live. I usually go mountain biking there. Next time I go I will not forget my camera. In the meantime try to bring up mountain bike trails kettle morraine. I know years ago there used to be pictures of those pines on the trail sites.
