I picked up a few late war Tigers (wish they made a mid war variant with rubber road wheels) - and in putting the turrets on, I thought they looked funny. Couldn't quite figure it out, they just didn't look right.
Then I narrowed it down, it was the side profile - the turrets don't seem to stick up enough, and they look very flat, and squat like. So back to the library I went, skimmed through my many books on tigers - looked at real pics and scale line drawings, and I think that's the problem.
I stuck some blue tack under the turret to "boost" it up just a tiny bit - and presto, looks like it should. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
My solution is going to be getting some tubing the same diameter as the ring on the bottom of the turret and cutting a small riser that I can glue to the bottom of my turrets to give them the booster seat they need. I was just curious if anyone else had noticed this or saw this as an issue?
