Great stuff, Mark. An AAR worthy of awards -- but of course we are fresh out of Oscars...

A question for you: what ground scale do you use with your IABSM rules?

The ground scale is just about 1/300. I use the rules unmodified. They were designed for 15-25mm figures. Its nice to have the look of a one to one game.

Hi all

Recently we played a WRG moderns tournament here in Auckland, NZ using 1/300th figures and vehicles and I've written a quick After Action report. There were 8 players and the period was up to 1979, and we played over 2 days. Sadly I didn't get as many decent quality photos as I would have liked (leaving my camera at home on the first day didn't help) but there are some good ones of the terrain and some the armies.

The direct link is http://6mm.wargaming.info/page46.shtml or you can get to it from my main page at http://6mm.wargaming.info

And a sample picture to tempt you

Nice link and pics of your games, so you were able to use the SADF Ratels. Look nice. One idea if you have any extra turrets from the host of this site is to put those on your Ratels, make very nice Ratel 90s (Ratel 60 using AML 60 turret).

I appreciate your terrain. Like the toll both. Where did you get the electric transmission towers?

My compliment for the very nice table and the very good "tiles (40x40cm ?). How many tiles do you have and of what material they are?

Hi Tammy :D !

Yes, you 're right : tiles are 40x40cm. It's a good size for transport them.
They are made with "polystyrene estrudé", an isolation material for houses roofs.
It is sold in 120cm x 60cm planks. So, I had to cut them with cutter.
It's very light.
It can be sculp very easely with an hobby knife.
The thickness is 3cm.
Not too expensive...

For this Weekend game, 28 tiles were use.
I have about 80 like thoses shown in pictures (!) (great for very big playing landscape !)
I have to glue foliage on them, I had this later... (take too much time to me for the moment... :( )

thank for compliment.

Beautiful eye candy... looks nice!
Its a sniper rifle, not a "sniper"! You don't call an assault rifle an "assault"!

Wow wow WOW!

Now THAT is some talent at work! Truly magnificent modelling! The terrain, the buildings, the models ...

Also looks like a fascinating game. The pictures of the medical convoy, the TD platoon, the German horse wagons (with a supply dump on the side). It is all first class stuff. Stirs up a storm in my imagination.

And a bit of clowning around by the gamers. Looks like a fun time was had by all.

Well done. VERY well done. :P

Hi Pibber

I was looking again at your splendid table and I noticed the "cloud" system for the woods. Really effective,

I have a further question. Do you have special tiles for hills or use separate elements fpr them?

Hi all ! :D

Thank you very much for yours comments guys !

Yes, we always have a lot of fun during those wargaming party, because we are very happy to play together.
So, it's very difficult for all of us to remain serious during two days of playing !

Tammy :
Yes I have specials tiles for all hills (about 15) with few size : hight, medium, small.
Maybe not the best solution, but this is what I have choose because I can glue hedgerows, woods, drawing roads on them permanently.

I hope theses pictures give you good inspiration...

Je déteste ça quand certains deviennent trop graves; après tout, c'est juste un jeu.
Une fois de plus le travail remarquable!

I hate that when some get too serious; after all it is just a game.
Once again OUTSTANDING work!
