Below I've listed the artillery we are including in the GHQ Napoleonics rules that Daryl & I are working on. (Progress is being made after much research) My question is: as there were some still oddball sizes left from previous times as well as other less common used artillery, is this list comprehensive enough or what do you feel should be added?
Thanks,
Sven

American
6pdr, 12pdr, 18pdr
British 12pdr field gun (Yes, they did have some, 4 batteries deployed in Peninsula)
Denmark: 3pdr, 6pdr light, 6pdr position, 36pdr howitzer
French had both 7pdr and 24pdr howitzers (horse and foot batteries respectively) not sure of calibre
I take it you are leaving out Turks, Serbs, Swedes, Arabs, Persians, Burmese, Chinese, Indian, Ghurkas, and Spanish?

A Soult & Batteries
Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun!
Thanks for the input!
Because of the present state of the GHQ range, we're focusing on primarily the major nations & what is available. I will endeavor to find specific information on the other guns that you mention & try to research the other nations. However I suspect like anything from the Indian subcontinent if it wasn't brought from Europe then there was no standardization & listing 1000's of individual guns will be right out, LOL.
As I understand it too, the French 24# was a 6" - well at least the books I have nearby equate the two. This may call for an extended hunting expedition in my book totes in the pole-barn (No, that is not where we keep the Vistula Legion
).
