I am very impressed by your painting and your modelling.
You say this is your first time with micro-armor? You must be a very experienced modeller in other scales to achieve such results on your first attempt!
Things that particularly impress me ...
- I can see the detail on your vehicles. You have a deft hand for highlighting and washing, that causes the details to pop out!
- I can see the faces on the infantry. And the details on the guns. That's some small stuff to be painting!
- You have flocked the bases of the infantry with a stunning combination of foliage stuff, on top of some good dirt-or-rock looking stuff. I pronounce you as a modeller who has the right stuff.
- The panther road wheels are dirty.

We got a guy who has an eye for the details that make it look real. Gotta love it.
You are right that a macro lense can be un-forgiving. But your work stands up quite well.
As to the gloss ... hmmm, yeah, I gotta agree that it looks a bit glossy to me too. May be in part the photography. But for my experience I have found that I must avoid anything that says "matte" in favor of those that say "flat", and I have found that Testors Dullcoat beats any and every other top-coat to make model paints flat FLAT
FLAT.
