True, but my understanding is that the Paris and Courbet were modified between the wars to inlude the losing of a funnel.

You are right. I was thinking to the WWI ship and not to the modified one.

Not only the the two forward funnels were modified in a single uptake but also the pole foremast was replaced with a tripod and the bridge was enlarged. More than anough to give the ship a different shape.

I'm putting a word in for ALL of the WW2 UK War Emergency Destroyers, the WW2 UK Modified Colony class light cruisers, WWII UK light cruisers Scylla & Charybdis, WWII UK frigate Black Swan class, WWII UK aircraft carrier Indomitable, WWII UK heavy cruiser Kent (Australia), WWII UK battleship Duke of York, Anson, Howe – late-war appearance, WWII UK aircraft carrier Implacable class, and finally...
WWII UK light aircraft carrier Colossus class.
There is no right or wrong, only decisions and consequences.

I have a suggestion for something other than a specific model... One of the issues some of the WW2 (and WW1) Micronauts have is a lack of masts.

This varies quite a bit from model to model. Some have a cast mast that is adequate, but others have nothing. Very common problem for Destroyer types.

How about a few sets of photo-etched masts/radar sets for some of those ships?
