I like the motorcycle sidecars too.

Who makes those?

It reminds me of a story:
My Dad used to race motorcycle sidecars. When he was doing scramble racing (cross-country in-the-mud type) sidecars in the 60s some friends of his were over in Germany at a race meeting when, apparently, the film crew of the film 'The Great Escape' were filming Steve McQueens motorbike chase scene.

They asked the scramble sidecar racers to do the bit where there were 3 (?) German sidecars chasing Steve McQ. If you look at the scene in the film the passengers are really hanging out the sides, just like the racers do, and really going for it.

So I think the story has some plausibilty to it.

Just thought I'd mention it on seeing the German sidecars.

Here's my first use of GHQ models:

I can't seem to get the photo to show directly - do some host sites block links to their pics or have I misformed the link?

So I tried again with this link to a google page - till no joy:

Thank you for the comments. Sorry for the late reply, I was out for the week end.

Hi ropey, it would appear that you were referencing a webpage address inside your Image brackets. So when you went to post your response, the forum database just gave you back the web address and no pic. I tried to assist and did this twice myself.

Once I noticed that a .jpg file was not being referenced, then I went hunting for the actual address for your jpg file. Right click on the image and copy the url address ending with .jpg.

Example:
What did not work:
http://www.militarymodelling.com/albums ... 4&p=607882

Correct .jpg address to place inside the [img] brackets:
http://www.militarymodelling.com/sites/ ... 607882.jpg

You just needed to present the .jpg url to the pic you wanted to share. I right clicked on the pic and copied the .jpg url and pasted it into the [url] brackets.

Hope that helps.

cama,
Great looking group of minis you have there for your 4CMBG.

Luca,
Awesome work with the Germans. Love the motorcycle and bicycle troops!

ropey,
Nice little scene you've got there...always liked the idea of dioramas at this scale.

Cama,

What color did you use to highlight the German vehicles?

I've just posted a bunch of new models on my site, www.microarmormayhem.com, including a number of new GHQ models.

Modern Aussies cont

Post by CDP »

Hi All,

My modern Aussies now have air support!!!

I glued the ramp on the NH90's in the open position before I found an article stating that the Australian Army was not using them with it open and would not be developing new procedures for doing so.
