Get'n on the "Imagi-Nation" bandwagon - Malakastan

Post by AllenRockwell »

It seems creating your own imaginary nation and arming it to defend itself against it's neighbors (or attack said neighbors) is all the rage here on the GHQ forum ... so I decided to join in the fun.

I present the Republic of Malakastan.

A full description and a bit of history is available on my blog here http://allensmicroarmor.com/the-republic-of-malakastan/

It's a work in progress, so be nice.

Ευχαριστώ very much Balzac

(that's how we roll in Malakastan, a bit of Greek and a bit of English all mixed up)

[As if the fergana valley region wasn't complicated enough without a new country there... Interestingly enough that area of Kyrgyzstan is pretty restive and is culturally very different from the north, its not too much of a stretch to imagine it declaring independence or for the borders to have been drawn differently.]

I guess one of Alexander the great's generals broke off north and settled to provide the Greek influence?

I would imagine Malakastan also has significant potential mineral reserves in the central mountain belt?
