Shokaku:
The deck markings are all cut and paste from white 1 mm line decals.
Graf Spee:
Graf Spee is based on the final scheme she wore at the end of her career as shown in Asmussen & Leon's "German Naval Camouflage, Volume 1".

Yamato
I've just completed the Yamato. A few pictures for your consideration.

That is really excellent work on the Yamato. Very good shading and highlighting and the "blast bags" look really good as well. Thanks for sharing!

It's an early-war version.

Try theses two, British and Commonwealth Warship Camouflage of WW II Vol 1 Destroyers, Frigates, Sloops, Escorts, Minesweepers, Submarines, Coastal Forces and Auxiliaries and
Vol 2 Battleships & Aircraft Carriers.. Awaiting Vol 3 Cruisers. All rather pricey but are comprehensive and cover all theaters, not only the Med

KM Gneisenau
Has anyone modified a KM Scharnhorst into a Gneisenau? I'm getting ready to start work on one but if anyone has any advice or photos I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Aside from the placement of the mainmast, I am hard pressed to find any significant differences between the two ships in the 1941 - 1942 timeframe. there may be a difference in the size of the hanger amidships but I can't prove it. I have gone through a fair amount of my reference library looking for differences (...yes, I have considered modifying a Scharnhorst kit myself) If I find anything useful in the next couple of days I will pass it along. I hope this helps.
Always respect the law of gross tonnage (aka "bigger boat wins")

The differences are minor - mostly.
I haven't seen anything that clearly shows everything but, if you look the two up in Wikipedia (I know, I know...) they have a couple of decent illustrations of the sisters (or should it be "brothers") that do show that the Gneisenau's hanger area had a raised platform where the Scharnhorst's mainmast would be...

Thank you gentlemen for your help. I appreciate it! I think I am going to just tackle the new mainmast. I have built masts and antennas from plastic sprues that I have heated up and shaped before. Have either of you StarCruiser or battlewagen actually done a modification? Thanks again to both of you for your reply!

I haven't tried something like that myself...
Not sure my hands would be steady enough, or my eyes sharp enough to handle that!
