Cast M4A1 Hulls

Post by Zippy »

So I just noticed that US M4A1 cast hulls (US90) are different than the UK M4A1 cast hulls (UK16). Just an observation. :?

As soon as I can get to Hunnicutt's book, I will try to get you an answer, if someone else doesn't get to it first.

M4A1 Hulls

Here is the simple answer.

US90 is a more updated casting so is a bit different than the earlier UK16 which represents the British Model Sherman II.

The older British model has spokes in the roadwheels which I do like, but lacks the rear turret storage that are typical of British Sherman tanks. If they ever do an updated model of this one, I would like to see the spokes in the wheels but with the rear turret stowage bin added.
