Am I mad or delusional?

Didn't GHQ make lead "eastern front" buildings back in the mid to late '80s? I seem to remember a Russian peasant farm house and shed like barn. Or was that some other company?

I tried googling it but nothing but the current resin buildings come up.

Fortunately I kept my 1978 GHQ catalog. You are not losing your mind, there were metal buildings produced by GHQ starting in the late 1970's including; Ukrainian Cottage, Ukrainian Barn, Stalingrad Factory, Tractor Shed and Row House.

A bit off topic but does your GHQ catalog list some Seven Years War Grenadiers with separate heads?

You mean like this: http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/tmb32.html

House, cottage, barn .... just gotta look under "Terrain Maker Buildings: Europe" in the catalog.

Unless you were referring to something else...

Yes. They made lead buildings. They had a larger base area and were rather squat. The current offerings have a smaller footprint, are solid and made of resin.

33 years GHQ

I guess it was earlier than I thought! I am getting old. For me its been about 43 years with a recent 20 year break.

When did they switch to resin? All the GHQ buildings I've bought are metal.

I believe some are still metal.

The newer ones are generally resin.

Almost all of our 80+ buildings are cast pewter. There are 2 exceptions- the barracks building, and the Ukranian Church which have the main building cast in polyurethane- both of these have cast pewter pieces that go with them.

All my GHQ buildings are pewter. I've not many but span quite a few years.

They were out of production by 1978 and no longer listed in the catalog
