Hi all, been a while since I posted or was active much on the site, but I recently started playing D&D, which resparked my interest in wargaming. I attend school in Buffalo NY and was curious if there were people active in the area. I am Mainly interested in board games, such as Axis & Allies, as well as ww2 micro armor.
Thanks,
Rommel58

Hi Rommel - if you're willing to cross the border for a game convention, in Hamilton the Hamilton Tabletop Gaming Society has a one-day con a couple of times a year called Broadsword. Broadsword 4 is August 26th, and it has both board games and miniatures. Not sure if there'll be any micro armor this time, but I know a few of the guys in HTGS collect it (and sometimes play it!).
I'm north-east of Toronto, so not in your area, but I was at the last Broadsword and hope to be there on the 26th too. A few Americans make the trek already.
There are some other conventions in the Toronto to Windsor corridor as well, KEGSCon in September, Council Fires in October, Hotlead in March.
The HTGS is here: http://www.htgs.ca/
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the info! I'll certainly do some research and possibly check it out!

I don't know of anyone in Buffalo but if you want to travel some there is/was a group playing board games at Millennium Games in Rochester. There's also a group in Syracuse but that's probably a too far for you to travel.

I'm actually originally from south of Syracuse, and I travel to and from there fairly regularly. If I plan it right, I may be able to stop by every once and a while. Thanks for the info!
