Whenever I post a pic on the forum it is HUGE! Anybody know how to shrink it down to a reasonable size? My pics are on the imgur website.

No doubt it is operator error and I just need to check a box or something.

Thanks,

-Mike

Hi Mike:

Imgur links o the original (HUGE) size by default as yo u have noted. Here is one ay to get a 640x640 thumbnail instead:

In Flickr when I hit the "Share" button part of the pop up menu is a drop down for what size I want. I choose the "Medium" option.

I have used the free side of Photobucket for years now.
I have to say is has become harder and harder with each passing day.
Last week I tried for 3 days to add photos via 2 different computers on 2 different O/S.
Only managed to get one pic on to the GHQ site!

For me photobucket is no longer an option and I am looking at a different way to host my images.

Unless you use the paid version, photobucket is so choked with ads that it is now unusable on my iPad, and takes forever to do anything on my desk top.

I will be looking to flicker or one of the other sites going forward.

Anybody know how to link to photos on OneDrive?

I can get a picture to appear if the url ends with .jpg but then the image is huge.

Thanks,

B

That's because that is the original size of the photo.

You can add some tags to get it to display smaller or resize the photo before you upload it to OneDrive. Check this link for how to resize it using a tag in your message:

So now our "friends" at photobucket have decided that you have to have a paid account there to enable third party web hosting.

Their site, their rules. But as far as I'm concerned, they can go make little photobuckets with themselves.

Obviously that doesn't work. Time to try something else.

Gort: Flickr only works if you use the desktop sote, not the mobile app. Choose "Share" and click the "Embed" tab. Choosewhat size you want in the dropdown box. Copy, paste then get rid of the added code.

Looks like you need to resize first.
