@redleg

They mock us and then sleep soundly under the blanket of peace and security our forces provide. My girlfriend Protest NO!! and rolls her eyes when the motor pool turns over the engines and revs up when they have been sitting too long.
Quantity has a Quality all its own.

Yoon, pretty amazing stuff.

I love that MkIV. Great depth and shading technique.

Wish I could do as good :)

Cheers for posting, much appreciated.

Without delay, I activated the QRF- 1st Platoon B Company had the duty this morning. They quickly located the keys and set up a perimeter around them while I notified my wife. I thought she would be pleased, but she seemed rather irritated. She muttered something under her breath about me needing another hobby as she left.
LOL! My wife goes through the same process! haha

But she follows up with "you could have worse hobbies..." in the end...

This is what I've been working on over summer break. I started a ton of infantry which I find kind of tedious to be frank. German fallschirmjager and US infantry... But the easier stuff for me are vehicles and I just wrapped up sets of Panzer III M, Turam I and ii, and Panzerjager IV

Epsom 2017

Post by BattlerBritain »

Epsom 2017.

A few years ago a friend and I toured Normandy and without knowing it walked right through the middle of the Epsom battlefield.

Afterwards we did a bit of research and at the weekend got together to try part of the battle, which turned out to be exactly 73 years after the event.

North terrain:

South Terrain:

Terrain overview (bit of a picture merge and not brilliant):

Terrain mat is the new FOW double-sided grass and desert and is OK but has a few bumps in it. It also stinks worse than a runover skunk so needs a lot of airing before use.

Town sectors are 1" to 100m scale produced from Google maps screenshots, annotated in Paintshop Pro, then printed out and pasted onto mounting board.

Roads and stream are Timecast rubber roads and stream, which are excellent. You can cut them up to make smaller sections so get the things to fit.

Buildings are a mixture of Timecast, Leven and Mainly Military.

Trees are from a woods kit by a railway manufacturer (can't remember which).

Thanks!! Great model, I had a tough time getting the gun glued right. I just think it looks like a mean, dirty war machine.

I am always torn about painting camo as I think it blocks the detail I like so much on the minis. I lean towards not painting it.

Your slogan decals look really good! Not sure I have patience for applying them...

Looks like a nice game, Battler. What rules did you use - Spearhead? I played Epsom a few years ago using Panzerkorps - great fun.

Yes sort of.

I use Spearhead for the Anti-Infantry and FFOT3 for the anti-tank.

Seems to work :)

Very true. I cant believe they did this...

I've been downloading all of my albums to upload them to Flickr.... now I need to convert all of my addresses over. Frustrating and time consuming.

Photobucket is dead in my eyes... I wish GHQ would respond to my request to alter my signature. Constantly receive an error message when going to my profile.

I'm just wondering when all my pictures are going to drop off the posts.

Other people here seem to be able to post pictures using Flickr, so I may switch to that next.

I do still have the original photos. Just a pain to have to redo all the links.
