Can anyone suggest a Vallejo model color for the F4F Wildcat ?

Wildcat Color
Keep in mind that the color will vary a bit depending on which period of the war you are depicting.
In 1942 the color tended to be a bit more of a grayish blue than Navy Blue. Also the effects of the sea air and weathering tended to lighten and gray out even Navy Blue rather quickly.
I painted Wildcat and the Dauntless for the GHQ catalog. I painted the Wildcat as it would appear sometime in 1942 after Coral Sea. I painted the Dauntless in the 3 tone scheme that was popular in 1943. In both cases I muted the colors somewhat both for scale effect and weathering.
