Spare tires

Post by Hoth_902 »

I was sitting here obsessively looking at images of armored vehicles on Google. Knowing that the likely hood of GHQ making vehicle accessories is small, I had a thought. Has anyone attempted cutting wheels off of a Stryker or a LAV. If so, how did you do it and how did it come out. I really would love to add extra tires to my vehicles..

I have cut tires off of various vehicles. Some to add spare tires to others and other times to add an axle to a truck. If adding spare tires, I have cut tires off the FMTV 2.5 & 5 ton trucks (1078 & 1083) that are part of the canvas. (I use the canvas elsewhere). I have used some tires from some dune buggy made by some company I do know who, So I have a vehicles without wheels. I use also some vehicles from another US manufacture a time or two.

dragon6,

If we are talking about weight gain, I have several spare tires and need to cut them off and not add to them.

Chrisswim,

How did you cut them off and do you have any examples to show how they looked when thew are done?
