Agreed, where's it at. With that said, the finance minister requested a re-evaluation on the vehicle procurement list due to a reduced budget. Dang house appropriation committee.

GHQ put it in the 2017-18 Sticky Posting

Get in on all of the Black Friday madness with GHQ! We will make it short, and sweet- use the discount code BLACK20 and receive 20% off on your ENTIRE ORDER that is over $100 in merchandise. This code will activate on Friday November 24th, 2017 at 12:01am, and will be valid for 30 hours. This is good for all GHQ products (special orders of spare parts are not included).

Who: You
What: Saving huge amounts of money
Why: Because you used the BLACK20 discount code on your order of over $100 in merchandise
Where: www.ghqmodels.com
When: November 24, 2017 12:01 am

There is no need to stop at $100 in your online shopping because the more you have in your cart, the more money that you will save. Load it up, and watch your savings grow!

For those of you who may not be familiar with Black Friday, here is a little background. There are a few different stories about it, but the one that we are going with is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the USA is the day that retailers usually go from being “in the redâ€￾ to being “in the blackâ€￾ on their accounting books. This is often a day filled with huge sales, and doorbusters to lure everyone into the stores as early as possible…some people even camp out so that they can be sure to get the doorbusters. There is usually a huge stampede of shoppers when the doors open, and occasionally people get trampled. There are sometimes fights amongst shoppers for the last of the doorbusters.

Here at GHQ we truly appreciate all of you, and would like to see you all save a huge amount of money without the risk of bodily harm, or death. That’s why we have our Black Friday sale as an online discount code. However, if any of you are feeling left out of the Black Friday chaos, please feel free to invite a few friends over, bring the group outside of your house at 11:50, lock the door, then open the door at 12:01, and see who can get to the computer first to put in an order. You could even offer prizes for the first to get an order placed, and the person who ended up saving the most.

If you want to add a little ambiance, you can play this video in the background for ambiance:

Got my order in - Thanks GHQ!

Can't wait for that Opel Blitz bus, wish it was here for the sale... but reasonably speaking I'm not going to buy a ton of them so it's all good.

Got my order in also; all Micronauts for me. Only the LZ38 is new but I took advantage of the 20% discount to build up my inventory of US destroyer escorts, amphibious types, and auxiliary/civilian transports.

I expect that GHQ will have another sale around the end of December and the beginning of January. At this time, I will be ordering some Birkenhead-class light cruisers along with other types.

I accidentally placed 3 orders! I thought my order didn't go through so I tried it again. Same thing, but I really want that micro armor so I try a third time. Then my email dings angrily at me and I have 3 order confirmation emails. I sent an email to GHQ to see if I could cancel 2 of the orders. I would love to get all 3 orders, but my wife might become violent they all go through. Still weighing the pros and cons....take a beating and get 3 big orders or micro armor....just might be worth it!

Redleg,

Take the beating. You will still have your microarmor after the pain subsides.

With a name like redleg, I assume you have at least a battalion of each type of piece, plus support vehicles...

Are the 155SPs back to six pieces per battery or are they still at 8 for armored and mech brigade combat teams?

Panzergator, I wish I had that much artillery! I'm almost done with my heavy brigade and then my plan is to start focusing on artillery. Right now I just have a M109A5 battalion that is DS to the ROD brigade. Plus a few other pieces but nothing in any significant strength.

My contacts that are still in tell me that DS artillery is organized n 6 gun batteries (3 per battalion) and that the GS artillery has 8 pieces per battery (2 batteries per battalion).

I got out of the Army in 2005 and they were transitioning from 3x6 organization to 2x8 as part of the new BCT organization. Everything was 3x6 in my day so I model the ROD on what I know: 3x6 for all artillery battalions, straight tank or mech battalions (none of those crazy combined arms battalions for me!)

Redleg, we stick with what we know because it is comfortable. We had 6-piece batteries in the '70s under the H series TOE and 8-piece batteries under the J series Div 86. I like those 8-piece batteries, with3 batteries per bn. Have 2 bns, need a 3rd, plus a 9-piece MLRS battery, and 2 6-piece M110A2 batteries. Also a 4-piece M107 battery. Will eventually complete the Divarty establishment with another bn, and maybe a full MLRS bn. These are guns, ammo carriers, and M577s only. Not rich enough for the trucks, m561s, etc. Theoretically, I COULD go back to 6-piece batteries and get the 3rd bn faster. Will have to think on that. Will stick with 3 batteries. Would be cheaper, too, to get M548s, as well. My ACR sqdn has a 6-piece short-barreled 155 battery, as well. Lots of work to do.

I am also not much on combined arms battalions. I think they are a product of the "package" wars fought in Iraq, etc. Better to tailor forces from pure bns than have not enough of either with CA bns. Like to see them lined up pure, too (my OCD, I suppose).

would love to have joined the fray but was out of town, and the lovely finance minister of PROG would disapprove of spending at this time.
