PG,
The term Jima is an island. We name some ships after states, island or island groups, people and/or battles; similar to many other countries.
We look forward to naming ships after others too, such as King Lear for a helo carrier, DDH.
The task force A in the Azores will progress to Cape Verde Islands after replinishing for training operations. This task force will be followed by Task Force B in the Azores.for training. this will be conducted as a task force and in conjunction with another task force. Each task force will serve in aggressor and as defender roles. ASW will be an element expected to be added.

Does the environment seem calm in Yer Bouti. Remember, French and English had similar circumstance in winter early sping of 1940.
.
The construction of the mineral explotation facility is finishing up in southern Algeria along with oil refinery and the pipeline connection to the northern sector of West Sahara. Work continues on the pipeline heading north. Working to build large network of pipes for a high level of capacity transport. Adjacent to the pipeline in much of the area is a wide-lane highway. In some cases 4 lane divided for industrial support and maintenance. A connection to the West Sahara Oil Refinery is increasing production and capability.

Yep, know what Jima means. Just thought it was an odd juxtaposition of names implying some subconscious circumstance. Still do, Mister Hegomaniac. And the Azores a a cluster of islands, not just one. Azores Jimas? Which to use, the English plural, the Japanese plural, the Portuguese plural? Oh, hell, CHANGE THE NAME!
All blessings flow from a good mission statement.

Azores Islands it is. Ship named after the Island group. Ministry of Defense is not so sophisticated as to have all the naming routines and rituals down pat.

King Lear of Algeria suffered a stroke and died early this morning. There were some complications from the surgery a month ago that just were not over come. This is putting the Algerian membership into the Commonwealth into question. It would provide stability, but would all citizens appreciate being a member along with Moroccodom. They might like beating the Morocco Soccer Team every year. Many members of the cabinet and parliament are now expressing a change of heart since King Lear is not able to lead Algeria forward with the membership. Discussion, debate will commence in the coming days.
.
The Commonwealth just acquired a Benjamin Class SSBN, the specific submarine is SSBN-654 George Marshall. This brings to 5 SSBN submarines that are capable with an assortment of weapon systems that range from mines, UW drones, torpedos, cruise missiles and ICBMs. It is not expected that the SSBN Marshall will be equipped with nuclear weapons according to Jane's Defense. It is believed that the submarine could conduct special operations with special forces groups onboard, according to Jane's.
.
The Commonwealth Military Logistics & Surplus Group announces a large order of equipment to the Balzac Republic. The contract calls for 10,000 rifles, 3 MM rounds of ammo, machine guns, ATGMs, along with petro fueling equipment, dozens tanker trucks dozens of cargo trucks of various sizes. The Commonwealth also worked as agent for the acquisition of another dozen Gripen aircraft, 4 C-130 are also part of the agreement.
.
Another dozen F/A 18 C are to be shipped to Chacovia within the next few weeks, along with parts, weapons, gas tanks. Chacovia will also be receiving 120mm ammo for their Abrams AIM.

The bonfire celebration for King Lear, his life and the kingdom. This has unified the country, even those still in prison for 20-30 years are celebrating. Prince Albert, the King's oldest son is the apparent ruler based upon tribal protocol, The Parliament is also behind this conservative progressive. When the Wolf asked him about becoming a member of the Commonwealth on the show The Wolf's Liar, he Prince replied that we will discuss the merits of membership in the Commonwealth. It is a great opportunity. But is the timing right under these circumstances?
.
In southern Algeria, progress is being made in the Oil drilling program. Infrastructure has expanded the economic opportunity for many Algerians and others flocking to seek work.
the Prince was said to be delighted to upon hearing of the success in southern Algeria. He also said he may try to attend the concert by the southern Algerian rock banks Leopard Skinyard and .357 Magnum to take place in Algiers in a few weeks.
.
The rail lines heading south in West Sahara past Yer Bouti have had a lot of traffic the last few weeks with freight trains carrying cargo south. The area is under moderate patrols to guard against any of Kababin's heading south.
.
The Commonwealth of Chrisdom is appreciative of the Balzac Republic leaving behind those vehicles, CV9040s, Leopard 2, and Archer gun systems. We understand it was some of the older stock of vehicles that Balzac used in West Sahara and Yer Bouti. The Logistics Chief is going crazy, more parts, more different types of parts. We don't even know the names of the parts, function or purpose. How are we going to keep those units supplied and functioning. The Asst Chief of Staff expressed surprise upon hearing that. No firm decisions have been made upon how those vehicles will be utilized. The logistics chief is reported to have said, "Who want Centurions? Leopard 2s? and those CV90s?"

Intel gathered on receipt of most of the equipment, some to be delivered very soon with ships in transit to Yer Bouti City, Yer Bouti. Intel has validated the basic equipment delivery having been sent of over 200-300 military vehicles, which includes heavy equipment as T-72, TUSK, T-62, t-55, along with BMP 1 & 2, armored cars and wheeled APCs. artillery, rockets and missile launchers along with missiles. Intel has determined that ammo has been on most if not all of the ships that have delivered AFVs,
.
Supposedly, engines where in different ships so Russia and Putinville claim they were sending used parts, not military equipment. The Russian ships were followed by ships of NATO and MeTO. Most going through Turkey and Chacovia from the Crimean port of Sevastopol. .
.
Resolution Proposal to the UIN:
Whereas, the Yer Bouti leadership, Sheik Yer Bouti IV, has just taken office under an illegal conducted election process, and
Whereas, the Russian government is spreading weapons to irresponsible nation-states, and
Whereas, the Russian government wants to sow the seeds of war, strife, conflict that leads to destruction, death, injury, homeless, and
Whereas, those in Yer Bouti are aggressively attacking citizens, ships on the high-seas, kidnapping, murdering and bombing various society,
Therefore, be it resolved, that the transport of military equipment, ammo, must cease immediately. All equipment must be returned to Russia.

Security Council voted to support this measure 13 - 1 - 1.

The naval training is continuing, logistic support has increased with the increase in military hardware being delivered to Yer Bouti. Capt Jack Thomas said, "it is in there now, not sure what's going to happen now. It is bad being in Yer Bouti, don't you think? How do you feel with it being in Yer Bouti?"

Yer Bouti: Nice sub, I HEAR it is really quiet, certainly when tied up to the dock in port. Nice looking antennas, good looking movie props. The Commonwealth is impressed.
.
Conducting training operations south of Yer Bouti by about 30-50 km including beach landing by two old LSTs with helo decks. This training was escorted by Type 23 and Perry Class frigate and a DDH. To provide underwater cover an Astute SSN was somewhere, took this photo along with several others:

http://photobucket.com/gallery/user/762 ... anBn/?ref=

The training was working with small amount of M1A1 AIMs, Bushmasters, LAV-25 & TOWs against a force of LAV III, AMX-30B2, Centauro, etc. Helicopter were seen engaging each other with their Zuni rockets and chain guns. Training operations will continue.

Assault Landing by Chakovia Marines along the coast of West Sahara, south of Yer Bouti. A flotilla of assault vessels with supporting frigates and destroyers conducted a landing 32 km south of Yer Bouti's south line along the shore. It was lightly opposed in some areas by the Commonwealth. A lot of smoke, lasers, booms and a few flashing lights.... Chakovia is conducting a traing operation with M1A1 Abrams, M2 Bradleys, M113, hummers as a small supporting force on the left flank, which followed the initial landing force. The Chakovian Republic (CR) Marines (CRMC) used M60A3 ERA, LAV 25, LAV-TOW, hummvs, jeeps, LVTP-7 assault vehicles. The opening fire support did hit some areas including a command and control HQ, fire support control station and some Bushmasters, AMX-30s and AMX-10P AIFVs. The drone sent in by CR intel forces were effective identifying targets and avenues to advance. .
The Marines were able to gain foothold and entry into the secondary objectives 10 km inshore and past Highway 1, which follow the coastline. The M60s performes moderately well, especially along the coast and waterways, certainly being a tall MBT contributed. The Abams used did very well moving about exploiting a seam or a flank. The AMX-30 were slow and did not apply effective battalion teams in the counter attack. Did better in the defensive role, additonal training is needed for the Reserve elements using the AMX-30. Commonwealth drones were able to alert the defensive forces of an impending attack group. Some of the intentions of the attackers were properly determined and the attackers paid a dear price when that occurred. .
Anti ship sorties were conducted with several support and supply ships being hit by missisles. Over a dozen attack aircraft were short down hitting the assault force by SAM, shoulder fired SAMs and some AAA fire. Drones were used to identify ships, locations to support the best angle of attack to exploit weakness areas in the CR Navy.
.
After 5 days of attack-defensive operations, the various battalion will report to the Armor Gun and Missile Range for live fire training and evaluation. It is expected that over 10,000 rounds of 105mm and 120mm ammo will be shot for training and evaluation. This is to also assess the logistics ammo & fuel, maintance, medical and the men and women of these units.

Cobra attack choppers were pressing an attack scenario on the Chakovia ground force which was managing a controlled retreat to the south. Tiger helos were also pressing the defenders toward the west of the Commonwealth. fixed wing aircraft supported the AH attacks. After 2 days of this operational training, tomorrow the tactical situation will change to logistical support, maintenance.
.
The US is reducing their deployment of the F/A-18 C & D models, the Commonwealth will acquire some of the surplus planes.

Al Kabob had another attack into Tunisa from Libya, they were in GHQ Toyoto Technicals with HMG. They shot up a small village with estimated 8-10 techinicals. Killing many women and children in a small village. AS the Commonwealth and the Tunisian National Guard were pursuing the Al Kabob terror group in VAB 4x4 and AMX 10RC. they ran into a wadie with some sink holes. This phenominon was not expected. Three vehicles are still stuck, a few of them once they were freed, became stuck again. This area is being evaluated and marked on maps for further use. AAR indicate that several AH Tiger helos did respond, and did fire ATGM missiles and also used the nose gun. 6 Al Kabobs were captured, 4 were seriousily injured.
This is what the attacks looked like...

The Commonwealth is sending 3 ships into the Indian Ocean to determine and evaluate the events of Mahishmati in the Bay of Bengal. A support ship, a frigate and DDG. It is reported that a SSN maybe in the general vacinity of the Bay of Bengal, but without specific information release unable to determine.
.
The UIN is have a meeting of the Security Council, is expecting a report from the 3 various States that are involved at this time for questions and information. The UIN wants to minimize any civilian deaths and armed conflict.
.
Interesting that Yer Bouti military and Al Kabab know what is happening 50-75 km from their border. This is and has been a training ground for several decades since low in population density. To the west is the highway, Highway 2 that runs from the south just to the west of Yer Bouti and to the north into Moroccodom.
.
The training is ongoing with joint force in Red-Blue from Chicovia forces. We have detected some aircraft flying right on the border, Mig 19s and Mig 21s. At times they haveactually crossed the border, then returned to the Bouti Air-hole (air-space). Notification has been sent to the UIN, NATO, and the Greater African Defense League. Perrier En Yer Bouti, a nephew of Shief 3, stated that this is dangerous by my country. Perhaps I must return to Yer Bouti to help.
.
The border to the north, west and south of Yer Bouti is staffed at normal levels. Although over the last few months relief efforts have increased on a humanitarian basis for the refugees that have left Yer Bouti. Reports of executions, people being detained without cause and mid-night home intrusions have occurred. The para-military and police are now dressed in black shirts/pants with black hats that arrive in the early morning hours. Some families have not seen their husbands in two weeks and there is not any word on them. The police are not responding stating their inability to determine if anything happened and where they might be.
.
The USMC and the US Navy is selling F/A-18 C/D, which the Commonwealth has taken advantage of to acquire. 34 were delivered last week and more are expected as the air groups transition to the F/A-18 E/F and F-35.
.
Moroccodom's reserve and national guard are still preparing for defense of Moroccodom in the border area just north of West Sahara, over 150 miles from Yer Bouti. Yer Bouti has had a significant build up in tracked and wheeled AFV, AA vehicles, and aircraft. Yer Bouti does seem to have very few rotor craft. The YBAF is reported to have Mig -29s delivered and are flying, training pilots in Air-to-air and Air-to-ground missions.

In southern Algeria, the development of the natural resources program continues. The new King, King Fear of Algeria is now on the Seat of the People. Discussion continue with the Commonwealth of obtaining members into the Commonwealth. King Fear is more inclined to continue to develop business & economic ties to bond vs. actual membership. Also to share information is is possible and needed in the future.
.
The King is concerned about Al Kabab, their conduct of terror in the region. He mentioned that Mauritania is gravely concerned of Al Kabab moving from Yer Bouti. Now expressing great concern since Yer Bouti is now home of Al Kabab, their Shiek Yer Bouti IV is Al Kabab. He is willing to send 200 troops in a joint effort to keep Al Kabab bad guys in Yer Bouti, as I do not want them in Algeria and it is better to keep them in their box vs. get into West Sahara and then into Algeria. These would be light infantry to work with refugees and containing Al Kabab in Yer Bouti.
.
Relations of Mauritania with the Commonwealth is because of mutual concern of Al Kabab and Yer Bouti. Mauritania is directly east of Yer Bouti. Concern of families, economic development. They want to send troops to contain Al Kabab in Yer Bouti, about 100 troops to help with refugees and security against Al Kabab.
.
The Balzac Republic has respectively declined sending any peace keeping troop on the border of Yer Bouti. Camastan offered a jeep, a Land Rover as a gift. Which is on the ship of captured equipment being sent. Camastan and Balzac Republic are working closer together now.
.
'CNNN's Wolf is reporting that Yer Bouti is continuing the conditioning of their shipments of tanks, armored fighting vehicles, armored personal carriers, artillery, planes and helicopters. There were sent as water tanks and pumping equipment. But El Shiek Yer Bouti IV is shaking his booty alright... right at the Commonwealth. Many members are delighted, hoping for war against the Commonwealth, shouting 'death to the commonwealth', 'we will take their wealth'. One guy in a demonstration march was lighting a mannequin of the Commonwealth leader but he had petro on his arms, hands and uniform so when another put a match to the mannequin it went up the rope, pole and killed the demonstrator. it is reported that is was an NCO in Yer Bouti forces. Singing off, this is The Wolf.'
.
The small flotilla as entered the Indian Ocean, reportedly heading to the Bay of Bengal. It is accompanied by several other ships of NATO including hospital ship and supply ship. No report on the Commonwealth submarine in the Indian Ocean.
.
The Foreign Legion of the Commonwealth of Chrisdom, the CCFL or CFL (not to be confused with the Canadian Football League), will be getting some newer equipment. It is expected to be heavier equipment to sustain the fighting capability of the CFL, The CFL has been concerned about its offensive production. The CFL has been expanding is size over the last few years.
.
The border shared with Yer Bouti is remaining calm, no serious incidents. There are still refugees leaving the Bouti. Across the border, several people and families have been seen being detained, escorted from the area. At times security force personal were seen driving the vehicle or wagon away. Reportedly from others coming to and crossing the border that gun shots were heard. A few pictures of entire families have been seen on social media. Sad state of affairs.

The exploration in Mauritania is continuing. the government has asked to consider expanding out role in developing the country, its infastructure, healthcare, inducstry and trade. Established a Chamber of Commerce in Mauritania. Special Envoys of the Commonwealth are flying down to Mauritania to expand discussions on all topics.
.
rumors of a submarine from the Commonwealth were not accurate. It was rumored that an attack sub was in the Indian Ocean. There was not an SSN. It turns out that the SSBN Georgia was cruising in the Indian Ocean going around Africa. So the Commonwealth boomers do not transit the Suez ** CENSORED **.
.
The task force that was in the Med is not in the western Indian Ocean, passing Saudi Arabia It includes supply ship, hospital ship and several frigates. It is planned that the task force will participate in relef effort in the Bay of Bengal Zone.
.
The UIN Security Council is meeting to discuss the issues of ROD particpating in the Bay and the two countries local and involved in the conflict that is excalating.
.
The Greater Africa Defense Leaque is asking members to get unit ready to defend the West Sahara country and the Commonwealth against terror from yer Bouti. Shief IV has had citizens of Yer Bouti executed recently. He does not care or concern for those that may have expressed concern with his rule with an iron fist.
.
F/A 18 are being readied on the Island of Americus in the Med. Software updates, checks on systems are taking place. A forward base in Moroccodom is being readied. This has been in the strategic plans for almost a decade. Most of the infastructure is being updates since it has fallen into disrepair.
