As the local news of YB, YB News Station, put a lid on the story that the Sheik Yer Bouti did 'Show 'em Yer Bouti' and did Sheik it to....' Amazing tradition this new Sheik is initiating.
Don en Yer bouti, said, "it is embassing that this person who claims to be the Sheik carries on this way as if he is a young teen who has just been initiated into adult-hood in his tribe, acting like a school boy. All the greatness he appears to have is from Balzac and Putinville and the terrorist group Al Kabab. Need to make changes in Yer Bouti, need an insertion team for Yer Bouti, then subdue him." There are over 10,000 Boutis that have moved to the eastern end of Yer Bouti in an enclave, many crossing the border with West Sahara. Don En Yer Bouti, reports, "we are training over 2000 people to defend their Bouti and their families and homes from this imposter of a Sheik. We hope to be back home soon, very soon."

On the orders of his most benevolent Sheik F. Zappa the II , today will from now on be known as a public holiday for the people of Yer~Bouti.
Wishing everyone a very happy "Sheik Yer~Bouti day".
Photo later if the troops stay off the beer long enough.
Cheers.
After visiting his loyal troops in Yer Bouti City, an impromptu military parade passed along the down town.

Mostly T55 and BMP1's from a YB City unit.
Updated T55’s used for traffic control.

Not painted in time for Sheik Yer~Bouti day but coming soon.

Air defence and a hint of the New MBT's.

PS troops did not stay off the beer but all armour made it back safe.

Nice parade, Tremors were detected today by seismic detection by the International Seismic Agency, run by the UIN. Major Krupa of the CoC Army - Geographical ** CENSORED ** Group said, "I wonder if the seismic detection was when the Shake Yer Bouti Day was being celebrated? Delighted that YB is happy, but i am concerned with them having a large military parade. Is this the coming of armed conflict?" Maria, a Foxy Reporter, asked if he had any information to base that upon? Maj. Krupa replied, "no, just awareness since El Big Sheik took out some of the opposition in Yer Bouti."

This week in Yer~Bouti.
Political.
Talks are underway for a possible thawing of relations between Yer Bouti and it’s Northern neighbors (CofC).
YB has seen a significant reduction in overland trade since severing diplomatic ties with all of the CofC Countries.
This includes Moroccodom which lays claim to the Western Sahara surrounding YB.
All overland North and South trade has been blocked for several Months now with very limited access sneaking out East across the desert.
Sea and air connections have kept the Country going but growth is impossible without land access to the rest of the region.
Rumors also abound this week of a deal with Al-Kabab of YB that would see the rebel group disarm completely within Yer Bouti.
This is believed to have come about due to the YB Armed Forces having regained effective control over all of it’s land boarders.
This may also pave the way for a larger U.I.N. sponsored amnesty in the area if terms can be agreed.
The Sheik has promised improved free health care, free education and increased employment. For the moment he remains popular, time will tell if he can deliver.
Economic.
The Yer Bouti economy remains in a troubled and fragile state. Oil production and exports are down to a fraction of the pre nationalization levels.
Economic/military sanctions remain in place by the US, UK and Balzac but some respite has come from the EU on the economic side with the unfreezing of the YB
Sovereign wealth funds by several central Banks.
Food production has been stable and price controls remain on many items.
A plan for large public infrastructure projects is starting to add jobs but progress is slower than expected.
Defence.
YB Military readiness remain somewhat low. Most of the Forces are still on the borders but many of the old T55 and T62 are used as no more than dug in gun positions and road blocks.
One Battalion with newer equipment (T72, BMP2 and BTR-80) passes for the quick reaction force.
The Army is receiving the majority of the limited defence budget and by troop and vehicle numbers alone has secured the land boarders.
The Air Force is restricted in operations with some F5, Mig 21 and a few Mig 29’s available, most F4 and mig 23 are grounded.
The Navy remains in port.

Talks in the Canary Island chain began several days ago. The CoC is hosting the event. The area is protected by over 1200 paratroopers, the Navy and air patrols. Not all the specific protection is disclosed for security reasons. A few different types of carriers have been scene in port.
.
The CofC is hosting the event at several villas that are secured for protection of the participants of the conference. Social and dinner started Monday evening at a palace (really a large vacation home of a wealthy American, reportedly his wealth came from MacroSoft & eBuy). Tuesday was a general meeting to list the main points and issues to improve relations between YB and CoC and its member States. All of the general discussion was polite, reserved (not saying much). The first break out sessions were Tuesday afternoon, some of the small groups did get loud and passionate, as has been expected.
.
The retreat has continued, some progress has been made with the stated desire to establish a working relationship politically, economically and access. This access has been made more difficult with Mauritania and Mali becoming members of the Commonwealth. Even though the French are still in Mali to help with peace and reduce the rioting and murder, their tenure is expected to end soon.
.
Points of agreement are elimination of Al Kabab. as a terror group in YB, and the support of other factions of Al Kabab.Private discussion requesting Information of Al Kabab is on the table, certainly for the member in groups outside YB that have attacked in the areas of Mali, Mauritania, Tunisia, and Algeria.
.
CoC had not flown any drones into the territory of YB in months upon the request (actually demands of YB with words of an attack). This has not stopped drones along the border and flights of recon aircraft near the border looking in. The border situation has improved over time with some of the refugees from YB returning to YB, others have moved on into Moroccodom and beyond to start new lives. Some scientist are getting established in careers in the Commonwealth.
.
The infrastructure of highways that used to go through the area now known as YB, would require some repairs along the border and probably within YB, but most of it is still highly useful since new Shiek Yer Bouti IV is on the scene. The highway and rail system north, south and east of YB may be available, Normal tolls or fees are being discussed, but that is an economic issue. If trucking/shipping companies of the Commonwealth are used, it is built in to the price of contracts, taxes paid by the those CoC domicile companies.

YB would like to thank the NDA for their interest in our part of the World.
However Al-Kabab activity in Yer Bouti has all but ended in the last few Months and the YB Army is now in full control of its territory.
Some groups of Al-Kabab are reported to be operating to the South of our Country and deeper inland in central Africa. Southern Libya maybe too!
The last thing that YB needs right now is another threat of an armed landing.
Many YB Army units are still deployed around YB City including a large amount of reserve troops. Also a live fire artillery drill is planed for later this week.
What Yer Bouti needs for the future is to develop its tourist industry to lure Winter holiday markers from wealthy Northern Nations looking to find some January warmth on the beach.
Plans are under way to expand the National airline into trans Atlantic routes just as soon as we can get the spares for the 747 and build a hotel.
New C802 system being moved to the coast.

Great that you wish to fight against Al Kabab, encourage that. As of now Al Kabab is making noise in the Med in Algeria near Algers and in Lybia. Reports in Egypt, Syria and Somolia.
.
Certainly do not need to land in West Sahara's southern sector, which is part of the Commonwealth. Chaikovia has an armored force training with some of the troops of Moroccodom and the Commonwealth, Force is administratively a Brigade of each. Chaikovia force has M1A1 Abrams and Bradleys. Moroccodom is a battalion of Merkava 1 and M113. The Commonwealth Brigade has CV9040 and Leopard 2, a gift from Balzac Republic.
.
The conference too a break over the weekend and convened Monday afternoon. Infrastructure, trade and local economy where the discussion topics of most interest.

A flight of CF-14s and CF-18s from the Illustrious class carrier NDAS Goshawk has taken off loaded with Cluster bombs and Maverick missiles to strike at Al-Kabab targets in Algeria, while S-2 Trackers and F-3 Banshees from the Majestic Class light carrier NDAS Chickadee are launched to provide air cover for the fleet.

Political.
A request has been sent to the CofC in Monaco for the exchange of ambassadors. It is hoped that dialog can continues on the many differences that still remain.
Moroccodom (a member of the Commonwealth of Chrisdom) is the biggest sticking point since Yer Bouti still has not recognized their claim over the Western Sahara.
However visas have been requested from Moroccodom for two members from the Yer Bouti government to set up a YB Interest Section in the Swiss embassy in Rabat.
It is believed Rabat will do the same in the Swiss embassy in Yer Bouti City. This is seen as a first step in easing mistrust.
Several other Countries are to be contacted this week with regard to restoring normal diplomatic channels.
Economy.
Sheik Yer Bouti has gifted the nation his new master plan for the rejuvenation of the Country. “I had a great vision for our nation†he said this morning,
completing the plan in record time and all on one sheet of paper.
(The Sheik’s visions are sometimes induced by Guinness!).
The bold multi year plan will see Yer Bouti transformed into a regional gateway and free port inspired by the likes of Singapore and Dubai.
Defence.
With the Nations borders now under control some of the reserve and militia units are being stood down.
At the same time the regular forces with start to slowly modernize their equipment.
This week saw the arrival of a Mil-8 helicopter for the YB Army along with six reconditioned M109 SPG being handed over.
Work will start on upgrading several anti tank systems this Month.
