The ranges are now live at Tank Fest! For the artillery range, the ROD has set up a big fat Fire Direction Center to ensure that all indirect fires are safe and observed. The FDC also has additional communications assets embedded so that they can talk to all participants when firing. Today the artillery ad mortars are conducting registration and calibration for the live fire events over the next few days.

Here is the schedule for the next 5 days:

Sunday: Adjust fire, fire for effect, stationary targets
Monday: Radar counterfire, time on target, moving targets
Tuesday: Smoke and illumination missions, coordinated illumination
Wednesday: FASCAM Minefield employment, hip shoots
Thursday: MLRS shoot, Copperhead shoot, expend all ammo!

We got an early start on the artillery range today. The fire support team from A Company / 5th Tank Battalion in on the OP calling for fires from all artillery units. Having just registered the guns yesterday, the fire is accurate and timely. The mortar platoon from 5th Tank is also on the range, dropping 120mm rounds on the stationary targets that have been prepared for them.

The other ranges are hot this morning as well. Some of the tanks have begun qualifying on the main gun range and others are training with the coax and cupola/hatch machine guns on another range.

The Submarine Bognor should link up with the NDA fleet that is already stationed there, NDA CF-18s have taken off from the YB Airport plotting a intercept course to protect the Wildcats from the Moroccodom A-7s and F/A-18s.

Today we are shooting time on target missions and engaging moving targets with mortars and artillery. We are also training on radar counter-fire missions with the Q-36 radars. The radars are tracking all of the indirect fire, and then sending counter-fire missions to the guns with manually entered targets inside of the impact area.

The Air Defense units positioned in West Sahara's northern sector saw and radar detected F-14 flying north out of YB. After the previous encounter, immediate authorization to defend the skies of West Sahara was received. Fired 3 heat seeking Chaparral missiles, from different locations, flares popped off. A SA-6 Battery and a SA-15 battery fired a missile each, hitting and destroying an aircraft. Landed in West Sahara territory, two chutes opened. Two were captured. One in serious condition. Helicopter flight to the BrightStar 2018 location, to the St Gandi Medical Center. The other is being questioned at this time.
.
3 attack subs have entered the general area west of Moroccodom to join the existing fleet and ships on patrol.
.
Message to NDA fleet and to the NDA Government and through the UIN. We have the right to attack the fleet and sink it. In the event that entering Moroccodom and West Sahara air space was a mistake, an accident by the flight leader, we have not. Please do not enter air space of a member of the Commonwealth of Chrisdom. We will monitor your fleet at a distance of two nautical miles by ship, sub, fixed wing and VF units. Please do not make the same mistake again.
.
The tanks are on the evaluation grounds by platoon, firing at static targets in daylight. Evaluating command and control functions for safety. Yellow and red flags on flying on each vehicle during competition. Platoons of Abrams, Centurions, AMX-30, Leopards, Oliphants, T-80s are running the course. A few tank destroyers are involved: AMX-10RC, Rooikat 105 and 76, Centauro, along with ATGM vehicles as BRDM-2-AT5, BTR-Terminator, M901, Jadg-Abrams, Jadg-Kanone 105.
.
In the infantry factility, a make-shift town, AIFV, APCs, are attacking specific objectives, having started this morning. These are unopposed evaluation cycles. M113, BMPs, Bradleys, AMX-10P, VBCI, M765, Ratels, Dardo, etc.
.
During the competition, air raid warnings were sounded twice. This is becoming a difficult TankFest, said General Petray of Italian contingent. "This is alarming that an active member of the world community would wish to send in two flights of aircraft, threatening to attack the participants. Because the Commonwealth is a member of NATO, the NATO leadership has been kept informed. Our government is sending a dozen tornado aircraft, plus support and perhaps others to help protect a member of NATO and the participants of Tankfest: Bright Star 2018."

the pilot of CF-14 that entered West Sahara has lost his way as its flight path was to head out to sea then to fly around West Sahara without entering its airspace, we request that you return the pilots and the wreckage of the CF-14 to the NDA immediately, as for our Navy's presence, where here under orders to assist the Yer Bouti government, and there military in protecting the country from any hostile moves made by the CofC and Moroccodom during the Bright Star Tank Fest 2018 event, any move made aginest Yer Bouti will result in full military action by both the NDA and YB.

The YB government would like to ease tensions between the NDA and the CofC during this tank fest.

We are unaware of any foreign soldiers or aircraft on or operating from our Country.
Maybe the vast area of this region has lead to some confusion. There are disused airfields out there in W.Sahara.

We again thank the NDA for their concerns regarding regional safety but please rest assured that the Sheik now has a robust defence in place.
Our ground forces may well exceed that of the NDA.

We continue to engage in positive talks with the CofC that have seen real agreements coming to fruition.
The only air missions departing YB to the Brightstar area are the F4's of the YBAF which for the first time ever have been prearranged and flight planed.

Now on with the games.
