After researching the tactics and operations carried out by Special operations forces on Netscape, and cross referencing it with the Standard Rules of Conventional Warfare. The Canadian Armed Forces Council has Unanimously Decided to not pursue this idea of developing a Special Forces units for the Canadian Military as the unconventional operations carried out by such forces would be considered illegal in today's conventional warfare.
This case is adjourned.

Just to clarify, the unconventional operations carried out by special force would be considered illegal in Canada's own internal rules for conventional warfare. Only a fool would consider special forces to be illegal in regard to international law, the Geneva Convention, the Hague Convention, etc.
Apparently by Canadian standards the US Army Rangers, Green Berets, Navy SEALs, British SAS and SBS, Russian Spetsnaz, Israel's Sayeret Matkal French COS Commandos, Chinese Snow Leopards, and the multitude of other special forces organizations around the world would be criminals.

The Canadian Airborne Regiment is not considered a Special force, they are conventalionally trained Infantry regiment attached to the RCAF that where meant to be dropped as a whole regiment directly near Canadian Army units on the front lines in order to setup the Equipment needed to get the RCAF fighter aircraft to perform Close air support.

It Looks like Electronic Warfare will get a Chance In the New Canadian Military, as our Ally Australia, found a couple of long abandoned EA-18 Growlers left overs from what was supposed to be a "9 day" grounding of these aircraft back in January of last year. it was located in one of their storage units in Sidney, they will be shipped to Canada later this week.
