Urban warfare for the New Canadian Army was a grueling one for sure during their operations in Nouakchott, Armored Columns kept getting trapped on the streets, and the infantry did not want to think about entering into a house occupied by the Militants, they simply just fired Grenades and PIAT rounds though the windows of each house to flush them out.

Things are getting spicy in the Persian Gulf region. ROD forces patrolling the area had a run-in with aircraft from the Eurasian Empire this morning over the Strait of Hormuz. No shots were fired. Carrier Battle Group 8 remains in the vicinity of the strait, while the battleship Fenris (BB-11) and the guided missile submarine Wolverine (SSGN-4) push deeper into the Persian Gulf.

Redleg,
Your quote about the "vulgar brawl" is generally attributed to Fredrick the Great. There may be some question, but I have heard that hat since my early service days. The latest I have seen that attribution is in Atkinson's "Guns at Last Light."

You don't have to be embarassed. I often see it attributed to an unknown artilleryman. I first saw the quote on the Finley print. And I have a Smithsonion attic memory, filled with a lifetime of trivia notes, like "What cargo did HMS Bounty carry on its famous voyage?"

Besides, Armor is an extremely strong advocate of combined arms operations. We all work together. Look at an armored division shoulder batch - all three branch colors, artillery red, Armor yellow, infantry blue.

Bounty carried breadfruit.
And the "incompetent" Captain Bligh sailed the longboat that Fletcher Christian put him in ALL THE WAY BACK TO ENGLAND! How is THAT for seamanship. And no Suez ** CENSORED ** for a shortcut either. Brando liked to play the underdog to make Christian a persecuted hero. Brando was a condescending, egotistical blowhard and Christian was a mutineer.

Tensions flared in the Persian Gulf again today when aircraft from the Eurasian Empire harassed the ROD fleet, resulting in a collision which left an Imperial pilot dead. At approximately 10:35 local time this morning, two Imperial SU-33 aircraft approached ROD Carrier Battle Group 8. Four F/A-18C fighters from VFW-17 intercepted the SU-33s and instructed the Imperial pilots to alter course. When the Imperial aircraft did not change direction the ROD aircraft attempted to crowd the SU-33s off course, but an F-18 collided with an SU-33 and both aircraft crashed into the sea. Both pilots were picked up by the ROD destroyer Rocket (DDG-118). The ROD pilot suffered minor injuries, but the Imperial pilot was deceased. No shots were fired.
The Eurasian Empire declared that ROD aircraft had engaged Imperial planes in international airspace, and that they murdered their pilot. At the same time, the ROD denounced the Empire’s aggressive action and declared that the collision was the result of the Empire’s reckless behavior.
The ROD offered to return the body of the Imperial pilot, but there has been no reply yet.

The Persian Gulf is quickly becoming crowded with warplanes and warships, and there is a lot of saber rattling from all sides. The ROD has announced that it will soon send a second carrier battle group to the region to counter the Eurasian Empire’s aggression. Yesterday, three Imperial Yankee class SSGNs were spotted passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Intelligence suggests that Imperial Army units are also at a heightened level of readiness. Several military convoys have moved into the region near Mahishmati, but there has been no deployment of combat units thus far.
