Not the field, just garrison. We don't issue those new suede jobs - our guys wear black leather and they learn to work the kiwi. Sitting around outside in the evening shining your boots is the ROD version of happy hour!

I found an old can of kiwi today and I'm feeling very nostalgic!

Germany.
A bunch of New Canadian Officers from CFB Lahr, are driving over to vist the nearby ROD base in their G-Wagon staff vehicles. They heard of the RODs warning of an Al-Kabab attack, but they just pass it off as impossible.

I hope the Canadians are bringing beer with them.

They will have to go through the same strict security that everyone else does when they enter one of our overseas bases, and especially now with the elevated security level. Plan on personnel and vehicle searches at the gate and security in depth as you make your way into the base. Come to Reiter Kaserne on the north-western edge of Schweinfurt.

We recommend that you increase your force protection levels and build a strong relationship with the local authorities. Our brigade commander met with the mayor of Schweinfurt and local Polizei commander to coordinate our security efforts around the ROD facilities. We have also planned for contingencies like terrorist attack and/or mass casualty events. The ROD has absolutely no desire to perform law enforcement in Germany, but we agreed to share intelligence and to assist with medical and transportation needs.

The brigade commander has the authority to provide assistance, if requested, in the form of helicopters, wheeled transport, and medical personnel. We have also positioned portable generators, lights, and tentage in a conex at the ROD athletic field in case it is needed as a triage or medical treatment location.

The NCAF has no jurisdiction in assisting law enforcement from other countries that's up to the RCMP to do that. The Responsibility of protecting the city of Lahr and our base falls squarely upon the Mayor of Lahr himself his city government and their local Polizei only. we can only provide assistance to the German Military, should such a thing happen though rather doubtful for any terror group to attack this country. it is a safe country to be in.

We do have a contingent of Canadian Red Cross personal stationed at the base as well for disaster relief.

We paid a good sum of money to the Mayor of Lahr to protect our interests here in Germany.

Schweinfurt Germany.
The New Canadian officers arrived at the Reiter Kaserne just north west edge of the city, the elevated security was pretty noticeable, but they all shrugged it off as some form of training exercise. the officers finally once they get through all the security, they reached the barracks (and They brought some Canadian Whiskey with them.)

Excellent. The boys enjoy whiskey!

You are greeted at the gate by the staff duty officer. You will need to be escorted while on the base since you do not possess a valid ROD military or dependent ID.

Are you here for business or a social visit?

Great! We'll hook you guys up with some of the guys and they can show you around the base. Then they'll take you into Schweinfurt for some doner kebab and schnitzel sandwiches!

You guys haven’t heard about the Al Kabob threat in Germany? Looks like they may have set up shop in your neighborhood. We figure it’s better safe then sorry when it comes to force protection. We’re surprised that you guys weren’t all told about it so you could be on your guard.

It’s Friday afternoon, let’s go downtown and get some food and beer. We’re hoping you guys can tell us about the Rocky Point Sea Monster that we heard about. When our battleship was passing through there about a month or so ago they said that they saw a sea monster off Rocky Point. It made it into our intel feed and now that’s all the Nav guys talk about.

We heard about the Al-Kabab threat yes, but it's most likely a bluff, a scare tactic, as Germany is a very secure country when it comes to threats of terrorism the mayor of Lahr ensures that their police forces will stop any militant attack before it happens, and we did pay the mayor good money to keep that promise, our base is perfectly safe.

A couple of individuals from the New Canadian Army are sent by the NCAF to the ROD for Special Operations training.

We're going to run your guys through our Recondo course (ROD version of Ranger school). We can also provide some additional special ops training if your guys are up to it, but we can't do the entire special forces qualification course.

We will place the New Canadian soldiers into our training squads as individuals. 9 ROD soldiers or marines and 1 New Canadian.

Keep in mind that this does not solve your problems. This can be a start for your special forces program, but their effectiveness will depend on how they are employed.
