Thanks Chris & Redleg.

Redleg,
I wish that I knew. It is a very old bottle of a grey by Polly S. It is so old that the paper label is gone.

Great work, Tom! You know I love the artillery! I really dig those recon jeeps too - well done! What was your MOS in the Marines if you don't mind me asking. I'm always looking for real SMEs and I'm going to ramp up my Marine force soon.

Excellent! Thanks for your service, Tom! I may need to pick your brain at some point as I try to get my Marines up to par. I've been in a discussion with another member of this forum about AAV units recently. Did you spend much time around the amtracks? It seems to me like they are basically a transportation resource without their own organic infantry.

Redleg,
Correct, the LVTP7's were used to transport us to the beach. I did a practice amphibious assault in Korea in 1986. Also did a little co-training at Camp Lejuene in 1987 in preparation for for a Med deployment. I'm more than happy to answer any questions that you may have to the best of my ability.
