The Imperial 125th Tank Division has withdrawn from the Kiev region and is moving north-east. It is quiet in most of Ukraine today as Imperia forces withdraw from the area or consolidate their defensive positions in the cities of Poltava and Donetsk.

This are still spicy in the south though, with cruise missile attacks on Imperial positions. Air, sea, and land-based cruise missile strikes are targeting the Imperial 45th Infantry Division along the coast, as well as command and control nodes and airfields on the Crimean Peninsula.

Coalition forces are moving and consolidating, but there are no attacks. 30th Corps in the north has released several brigades back to 3rd Army and is now moving east to control the northern border. South of them, the Nigerian Divisions have been detached from 16th Corps and the NCAF forces are resupplying and building combat power.

Further to the south, 5th Corps is moving toward the Crimean Peninsula with the 3rd and 12th Armored Divisions and the 99th Airborne Division. Several armored cavalry squadrons have moved east and are in contact with the Imperial 45th Infantry Division, which is being struck by cruise missile attacks. The CoC 4th and 1th Armored Divisions are still over-watching the city of Donetsk. Where the 805th MRD fled and joined the 5th Army defense.

Salvage ships from a Halifax based firm in New Canada has arrived in the Mediterranean to began the operation of raising the Wreck of the Supercarrier Canada, and take her back home for repair and refit. The Royal Canadian Navy has plans to give the Supercarrier more offensive armaments that will allow HMCS Canada to better defend itself against enemy attack.

A similar refit program will also be in place for its 3 King George IV Battleships, and (once she’s raised) the Queen Elizabeth Battleship Confederation.

The Imperial 125th Tank Division continues to withdraw to the north-east, heading into Belarus pursued by the 21st Corps and CoC combat aircraft that are continuing to launch strikes against elements of the division that are caught in the open.

CoC cruise missiles continue to strike key targets on the Crimean Peninsula and in the Imperial 45th Division area of operations. Imperial Tu-95 bombers ventured into eastern Ukraine to launch several cruise missile strikes of their own against CoC units to the north of Crimea. Several units were impacted, but casualties and damage were minimal.

The Imperial governor that was supposed to be the head of Eastern Ukraine in Kharkov has fled to Imperial territory with his staff. At the same time, the Ukrainian government has returned to Kiev and is occupying the Ukrainian capital once again.

In the North
30th Corps has released several of its brigades back to 3rd Army and it is using the RPNW Division to screen the northern Ukrainian border between Lviv in the west ad Kharkov in the east. 21st Corps is in pursuit of the Imperial 125th Division on the northern border. 9th Corps ha shifted its center of gravity to the north, using its units to defend Kiev and Cherkasy.

In the Center
16th Corps is moving east to the city of Poltava to seize the western and northern areas of the city.

In the South
4th Corps has encircled the city of Donetsk and established a porous blockade, allowing food into the city, but stopping Imperial traffic from flowing in either direction. 2 Brigades from the 4th Armored Division are heading south to strike the Imperial 45th Division near Mariupol, along with 5th Corps which is attacking from the west.

Crimea
Divisions from 2nd and 17th Corps are attacking south, moving into the Crimean Peninsula. The lead units are encountering heavy resistance. Mine & wire obstacles backed up by indirect fire and ATGMs are slowing the advance

The Imperial forces in Ukraine have begun a full retreat from the country and they have approached the Coalition chain of command about arranging for a cease fire. After evaluating the situation and doing the math, Imperial commanders have concluded that they cannot achieve a victory against the Coalition short of a nuclear exchange, and that their only recourse is to withdraw from Ukraine.

As negotiations were underway, 16th Corps launched an assault on the city of Poltava, and 2nd Corps launched an assault into Crimea.

Poltava
Canadian and Nigerian troops attacked from the west, charging headlong into the city with tanks leading and dismounted infantry following closely behind. The lead units found the first few city blocks to be deserted, but as they moved through the area they struck anti-tank mines and IEDs which disabled or destroyed more than a dozen vehicles. As infantry rushed forward to support the armor, they were faced with additional IEDs, foo gas, and sniper fire.

16th Corps was able to rally its units and push further int the city, where they met obstacles made from cars and busses. As the vehicles were being cleared from the road, the Coalition troops came under heavy artillery and mortar fire and renewed sniper attacks. The attack stalled in several narrow chokepoints. The corps chain of command was considering alternative actions when the cease fire notice was received, and the assault was halted.

Crimea
2nd Corps launched an assault on the Imperial defensive belt at the north end of the Crimean Peninsula. The 2nd and 4th Armored Divisions (Bulgarian) assaulted the mine and wire obstacles and tank ditches, leading with engineering vehicles and mine clearing line charges to punch a hole in the defensive line. Casualties among the breaching units were heavy due to concentrated artillery fire and ATGMs overwatching the kill zones. CoC counter-battery fire suppressed the Imperial artillery and the CoC armor poured through the gaps that were opened.

With the primary defensive line breached, the Imperial units withdrew to the secondary defensive line, but the cease-fire notice was broadcast and the CoC units stopped their advance.

With the War now officially over, the Salvage fleet from New Canada sails over the wreck site of HMCS Canada and attempt to raise her from the bottom.

The plan is to send teams of divers down to the wreck to seal up the ship. And through a combination of a series of very large air filled pontoons and the 6 heavy lift cranes will lift the wreck off the bottom. Once she’s brought up to the surface will pump the sea water out of the carrier to lighten her and then tow her into position onto the submerged decks of 4 heavy lift ships and sail the wreck home to CFB Halifax for repairs and refit. the salvage fleet will return back to recover the other RCN wrecks.

Turkey sends out 4 patrol boats. You are to leave. You are blocking navigation.
You are to leave immediately.
.
CNNNN with The Wolfe. Admiral what are your thoughts to try to raise a modern carrier?
Admiral Johnson, “I understand the wishes of NC thinking that they will save money. After being in the sea, the salt water has started to corrode everything. Even if it’s raised it will take more time to repair than build one, that’s is even if carrier will function. They will have issues with it. It will never be properly repaired. The bombs, missiles, the fires, heat and the salt water. Ask .Mr. Gibbs who has built ships and repaired ships his entire career.â€￾
Mr. Gibbs, “ for 53 years my firm has worked on ships in private sector and naval ships. That is complete crazy decision with the damage, the twisted metal, pipes, conduits. It would be cheaper to buy or build one, it would be quicker to buy or build a carrier. It would be more reliable to buy or build one.â€￾

The NC Salvage fleet sails away from the Bosporus. Empty Handed, the Wreck of HMCS Canada along with the Other RCN Wrecks are now in the hands of the Turkish military.

The NCAF is looking for options to replace HMCS Canada, if another JFK Carrier is available to purchase, if not they are considering ether a Nimitz class or the new Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth class Aircraft Carrier as a replacement.

How about LHD-1 Wasp Class, LHA-6 America Class.
Japanese DDH, helicopter destroyer, or UK Illustrious Class.

The first three options are meant for helicopters only, and the Illustrious class does not have the Capacity to carry a full fighter wing (80-90 aircraft) much like what the JFK carrier has.

If a New SuperCarrier is not found to replace HMCS Canada. All RCN CF-18s, CS-2 Trackers, and sadly the new Rafele Fighters from France will be placed into Indefinite Storage.

If anyone has a SuperCarrier for sale place contact the RCN.

Mech, you are way off base. The first two options most certainly Carry fighters. The wasp started with harriers but is now carrying F35s (20). In addition, the America was designed without a well deck to have a bigger hanger to cary more F35s (20). Later America class ships will have the well deck added back in but still retain F35 capability. As for the third option, based on the size, you can tell it was not just meant for helo'd. The Japanese are reinforcing the deck to take the head from the VTOL engines.

By the way,. If you operated smaller carriers, you could have more flexibility through having more ships. THE RPNW will soon be operating two of the Wasps.
Quantity has a Quality all its own.
