Alright everyone? My first post in what... 8 years? Damn time really flies! Recently rediscovered my old micro armour after I moved house and figured I'd give it another go with one of the unpainted T-55s I had. The mg's appear to have been lost to time unfortunately but hopefully I can find a suitable replacement.
Painted to represent a very well storied T-55 somewhere in Syria with replacement parts and a long service history. Probably going to experiment with some weathering powders to get some dust and sand effects on it but for now it was a solid test. Very happy with how the flag came out in particular.
And because I can never get over how small these little things are, a scale shot!
Just ordered myself some WW2 Germans to work on next so hopefully have more to share in the coming weeks. Nice to be back working on these, been too long.

Got another tank finished up, this time a T-72 M1. Meant to represent another piece of Syrian armour this time in slightly better shape. Always loved the photos of Russian armour with colourful replacement fuel barrels on the back so this is my take on it.
Getting a bit better at the photos too but still not quite happy with them, obligatory "models look better in person" comment I guess!!
After some further experimenting they seem easier to photograph on lighter backgrounds, also the scale shot from my Insta.
Should hopefully have my Germans arrive in the next few days so either them or a ratty old BMP-1 may be next. Comments and criticism always welcome!

Damn Chris! That's amazing! If you didn't have the shot of them in your hand I would have been certain that they were a much larger scale! Would you mind going over your painting technique sometime when you get a chance? There's so much fantastic work on this forum and it's interesting to see how different techniques can yield such awesome results.
And I have a feeling that your "ratty old BMP-1" will be museum quality!
Thanks again for all the wonderful comments everyone! They've been a great push to get on and painting for sure. I've finished not one but two different BMP-1s along with the first WW2 German unit, a Panzer III M. The Pz still needs its markings as I'm still researching them to (hopefully) keep it as historically accurate as possible.
Also I really need to do another base for photos, going to get a bit fed up just using the same one over and over!
Love all the little details on these like the axe and bolt cutters, need a seriously steady hand to not hit the sides though since they're down in the armour gap!
I'm currently working on a bit of a tutorial on how I painted the BMPs since I've been asked both here and on Facebook, just need to write it up now the photos are all done.
