I’ve been busy

I’m posting from my phone so I’m not able to paste pic.
Not “Cama”Quality but after years (10-20+)of the ships sitting there I decided to start painting them.
I’m happy the way most turned out.

For the early war ships I use a Krylon all in one Matte clamshell spray paint. Use very light coats so not to cover any detail. Then just army painter flesh wash for decks.
This was a surprise to me but if you uses army painter dark or strong tone on the rest of the ship it turn to a dark gray.
When it’s all dry then dry brush stone golem or Vallejo medium gray.
Then it’s just detail work on the ship.
It’s really easy and I able to finish 3 ships in a few hours.
For the carrier it’s all tape and airbrush. Then just detail work
Not really historically accurate.
Lmk if that helps.

Really impressive again - I honestly thought you had used decals! They’re great. The shot I like is the two vessels side by side for scale - truly makes you appreciate just how massive the carriers are!
That’s high praise coming from you since your work is the gold standard everyone is striving for.
Thanks 😊

Here a pic gallery from start to finish.
Take about an hour minus drying time to get to last pic.

Awesome job on these ships! Really shows why GHQ models are the best. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
