Re: PolishGI’s Working Thread (WWII & Vietnam)
Hi Polish GI! Time is the thing for sure. Right now, I am in the middle of a Cold War era project, painting some Russian infantry for Fistful of TOWs 3. I also have Egyptian infantry as well as some U.S. and West German. Heroics and Ros sent me some samples of some other Cold War infantry including Danes, Swedes, East German and British. I will be trying to get the British and Danes done soon so people can see these.
I still have lots of Cold War stuff to do before I can really do a decent game such as Russian tanks, NATO tanks, and a lot more urban type terrain and hard surface roads. I have a decent WWII set of terrain but need to modernize some of it at least.
My other long term project is WWII as well. In the past, my focus has been primarily East Front and North Africa but I now have some American tanks and infantry at least for NW Europe. I need to make some paved roads for my French countryside. I have plenty of dirt roads already but need to add some paved roads using my method for my desert paved roads I did a few weeks ago. AND ... There is still more to do for my East Front and North Africa games.
I would love to do Vietnam but that is a whole other project. Maybe in a couple years.
Takes care, Jeff!

Yeah, I get it! You have your hands in a few cookie jars as well! That’s my only fear is taking on too much and getting nothing done. Time comes and goes for me anyway with the kids so Im barely holding onto my two fronts. Egyptians would be neat to see! Cant wait to see those…pmskaar wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 8:09 pmHi Polish GI! Terrain is a funny thing, as it ages you tend to look at it and say, I can do better! Lol Especially, since there are more vendors out there providing models and or trees etc. Or finding/creating 3d printed models. Allows the 1/285 people to up their games.
Haha NW Europe throws a wrench into everything! Making hedgerows is a magical process. I think your paved roads came out great! A bit of measuring Im sure, but it paid off! I wonder if there are any vendors that make 1/300 electrical/phone lines. Would be a nice touch for sure. 3d printing them would be quite straightforward.
So many things to conquer, so little time! Lol Even with the Nam terrain, I wanted to see what it would look like with the palm models I picked up. Kind of fun to play with but not very practical. Unless you are in specific areas of Vietnam, palms do not really come into play. I need to get back to making more wooded areas to recreate a mess in which to fight in.
Always a challenge and always something to do!

Great work Polish! The bases look great and they blend in with the terrain exceptionally well!

Re: PolishGI’s Working Thread (WWII & Vietnam)
I received an email or two asking if I could locate/upload pics that were lost when the forum database was moved to its new/current location. There are a few pages on this thread that appear to be corrupted. So I tried my best to locate the pics that were lost due to the forum database conversion.
Hope this helps.
