After a marathon session of parliament and a very close vote, the government of Karmanaskis has passed a bill to end Military conscription for the KDF. The July draft had been delayed due to the covid 19 restrictions and will now go ahead on a purely voluntary format. The Army will be the hardest hit (Navy and Air Force are over 95% professional full time staff anyway). A break down of the new structure should be released this week.

The KDF had planned for the outcome of this vote and the full recommendations of the KDF have been approved by the government. The Army will now move towards a modern Regular Force structure supported by a robust and well trained Reserve units system.

It is conceivable that ROD may have 3 carrier battle groups in the Atlantic soon. ROD has two carrier groups in the Atlantic with another that just left port from ROD. The plan is to have the departing carrier battle group enter the Atlantic.

It is the ROD's goal to have 3 carrier battle groups and 2 guided missile submarines at sea at any given time. They each have patrol zones, but we give commanders a lot of autonomy when they are patrolling. CVBG-13 is patrolling the Indian Ocean, but they took a little side trip to Cape Town. CVBG-6 is patrolling the Mediterranean, but they popped out for a sort visit to Dublin. CVBG-8 is just leaving port, heading to the Atlantic. 4th MEU is currently in the south Pacific, heading home after their extended mission.

Where are the SSGNs? Shhhhhhh it's secret!

And just in case you were wondering, the ROD has two maintenance facilities with dry dock: Saint Catherine and San Andreas. CVBG-11 is still undergoing scheduled maintenance at San Andreas until the end of the month when SSGN-4 will report for upgrades and fresh paint. SSGN-6 is currently undergoing routine maintenance at Saint Catherine, but CVBG-13 will be reporting to that facility for maintenance next month when the sub rejoins the fleet.

Funny you should ask. The Representative for Karmanaskis was to offer the very same question to New Canada and The Outboard Islands, what was their aircraft doing there? And why?

The KDF (Air Force) routinely conducts training exercises around its Island and in international airspace. We give advanced notice and do not enter anyone else's territory.
The sudden appearance of unknown foreign military aircraft (Outboard Islands are not local I take it) operating near to Karma will always get our attention.

Today's exercise to our East has concluded, tomorrow it moves to Karmas West coast, along way from NC and the Outboard Islands.
So now we all know that the Outboard Islands Military is here in our region and the Outboard Islands Military knows that the KDF is here too.

Karmanaskis has flown 30 tons of dried food stuffs into Kabul and is preparing to fly out 250 Nationals.
The Embassy will remain on a basic core staff only.
A request has been made to the Kingdom of Mahishmati to allow Karma to use it as a transit point as a second and maybe third airlift is required.

The Kingdom of Mahishmati approves Karmanaskis request. Hatyaara Field is available for your use as a transit point. The ROD 5th Fighter Wing is the only permanent tenant, and it was used for last year's Grunt Week, so there are currently four open Hangars and there are several adjacent acres of flat open ground that can be used for temporary storage. It's monsoon season, so you will want to put some tents up to use the open space, but flight operations won't stop for the rain.

Karmanaskis thanks the Kingdom for their generous assistance. Also thanks to the ROD for the uses of one of the hangars.
The KDF DC-10 has just taken off from Kabul for Hatyaara Field KoM with 250 pax, flight time is a little over three and a quarter hours I estimate.
Upon landing in the KoM a processing and quarantine area will be set up in the empty hangar offered by the ROD 5th Fighter Wing.
A civilian Boeing 777 of the Karma State Airline will be on the way to Mahishmati shortly to repatriate the Karma nationals, it is carrying a KDF medical staff and other KDF members.
The Air Force DC-10 will be readied for a possible return to Kabul, from Mahishmati it will have the range for a around trip without the need for refueling.
One of the lower cargo doors has built-in air stairs so no ground equipment is required if a quick turn around is needed.
We are monitoring the situation.

Yesterday evening and early this morning the KDF conducted two more repatriation flights out of Kabul to the KoM.
Karmanaskis is temporarily suspending diplomatic operations due to security concerns.
The suspension is temporary and its embassy will resume operations in Kabul when it's safe to do so.
Operations out of the airport are becoming problematic.

Citizens of Turkey around the globe are protesting in front of NC Embassies for leaving EE troops in Turkey. The NC Army and Navy were to remove the EE forces from Turkey.
Protest for lack follow through, protest the NC forces not kicking out the EE from Turkey, protest NC government policy and/or corruption. Just do not get the job done. NC was supposed to be a major player on the world stage, but either incomprehensible, incompetent and/or corrupt.
.
. Resolution presented to the UIN BY Turkey condemning the EE and NC. Also asking for help.

Turkey Allied themselves with the EE during the Black Sea War. Turk forces opened fire on my fleet of warships when they where trying to cross the Bosporus Straits in a effort to support my and the forces of the RPNW in Ukraine. Unfortunately our ships suffered too much damage to do much good near Ukrainian shores so we retreated by to the Med hoping the Turks will let us pass so we can tend to the Wounded crew, instead the Turks opened fired. And only 2 RCN ships made it out.

Ok, that’s what happened? By International Treaty Turkey must permit passage through the Borphorous Straits.
They cannot do that. I know I am not you, but I would go show them. Maybe you can, maybe you can’t…..

Riots escalate in several NC Embassies. Crowds swell in Several European countries.
