Party boat. Wouldn't want to cross the English Cannel on it.

Re: 2021-22 New Release Schedule
Hello BurWolf
From my point of view, it's very interesting to play on the eastern front. For example, an evacuation of the German troops/vehicules which must cross a big river. We can imagine organizing round trips of equipment between the two banks with two or three Siebel ferry transport. We can imagine the future Flak's Siebel ferry from GHQ tied to the bank to protect the maneuver too. We can also imagine the transport of materials between the two banks to bring reinforcements to units surrounded in a pocket, with their backs to a large river.
Good scenarios in perspective !
Pibber.

Sounds right on point! Retreat from the Crimea for example!

Re: 2021-22 New Release Schedule
They’re here!! They’re here!!
M109A7s in the house! Actually, they arrived a few days ago, but I have been so busy with work that I haven’t had a chance to crack them open until now.
It’s a really good looking model. Detail is great and there is very little cleanup required in the way of mold lines or flash or anything. One interesting thing to note is that the travel lock on the front of the hull is molded to the hull. On the M109A6 model the travel lock is a separate piece that has to be glued on and is the cause of much cursing on my part. Don’t worry – I will still glue my fingers together putting the .50 cal on.
I’ll get some painted up and post a couple pics.

OMG, they are nice. I think two packs of them just rose to the top of the Wish list. Well, that and the Ammo carriers to go with them. Hurry up and get them painted.

Only one new Sherman for the whole year...
But that's OK by me. GHQ has been so generous to the SLS* in recent years that I will still be busy for much of the year buying and digesting Shermans from the prior years' releases.
Yummy yummy Shermans! Can't get enough of 'em.

Simply marvelous! The guys in the Jeep’s and the half track on the guns, does GHQ make those or did you cut down available figures?

Those are awesome Mark! You're making it difficult for those of us who are trying to stick with just modern micro armor! I'm glad that there is a support group for people with your particular addiction!

Yes, it is very difficult to resist starting in a Sherman battalion or two.

Re: 2021-22 New Release Schedule
It was not my intention to side-track the discussion of this year's new releases. Rather I was just expressing my appreciation for the new releases of recent years, and trying to do so with a bit of fun (I love all the pics in this forum).
So ...
I will take my Shermans to the "Show us yer stuff" thread, for those who wish to see more of them, and also answer any questions about them there.
Carry on with the new releases!

Re: 2021-22 New Release Schedule
Hi! My names Pete and I'm a Sherman lover. (Hi Pete)
It all started by just liking Shermans a little bit, but then as GHQ kept producing more Shermans I realized I just had to have more. My addiction grows but at least I have 1 member of this esteemed body that shares my sentiment. Thanks, Mk1 for your knowledge and insight about Shermans and a whole host of other things.
I am looking forward to the British Sherman Mk1C Firefly coming later. I just ask that there be no sideskirts on this model. Thanks!

Re: 2021-22 New Release Schedule
It's funny; I'm no big fan of Shermans, and WW2 isn't my jam... But there's something about Israeli shermans that just tickle my fancy. From 76mm M4A1 in 1956, through to the last 105mm M51 soldiering on and trying to hole T-62s!

Re: 2021-22 New Release Schedule
I finally got some paint on the M109A7s. They're really great sculpts and my painting does not do them justice. I promise they don't look shiny on the table!

An M109A7 next to an M109A6 for comparison

They look great! Shiny means wet. Must be at Hohenfels in the Fall.
