1/285 partisans/French resistance figures

Post by El Grego »

I could be wrong but I thought that GHQ offered a pack of (WW2) partisan or French resistance figures, but I can not find them.

Anyone have any hints?

Hi El Grego

GHQ does not make any Partisan type figures for WWII. It would be nice if they could consider doing a pack or two or either generic Partisans or maybe more specific types such as Russian Partisans vs. French Resistance fighters. I imagine the main differences would be in clothing and weapon types.

Thanks - I see several packs of 3rd world/Middle eastern fighters and a modern civilian pack.

WW2 partisans would be a good candidate for a future release.

That would be a great addition. France, Yugoslavia, Russia, etc. I can think of several battles I would like to game with Yugoslav partisans.

I have no idea how each "theatre specific" force would be covered. At this scale and based on how varied irregular forces were equipped and clothed a generic WWII armed civilian pack would be appropriate IMHO. I have quite a few suitable irregular miniatures figures. Some from 20th century guerrillas, generic modern forces bare headed and with bush hats and a mix of forces from the Spanish Civil War troops. The only potential drawback is Irregular casts the figures in numbers of four to five figures on a single base (some prone and some casualties). You could cut them into separate figures but I would worry about damaging some figures. They are usually side by side and inline based on either oval or rectangular bases. Hope this helps.

Another potential source is 6mm sci fi forces. Specifically I recently bought some "armed civilians" from Brigade Models. Again the weapons and uniforms may or may not match your specific goals but another direction to look. The models I am referring to are here:
