There are reports that, with the sudden evacuation of the New Canadian government, the old Canadian ministers of the government-in-hiding have emerged to re-establish legitimate government across Canada. Foreign agents of all types are being asked to leave and are being escorted to airports under guard. Volunteer armed forces are being organized to round up those foreign units reluctant to comply with the order to leave. Officers of the New Canadian armed forces have been placed on forced leave pending review of their performance and qualifiations. Arrangements are being made to return survivors of the recent NC expedition via charter with nations that have taken them in. Canada is reasserting itself as a sovereign nation.

The government has stated it has no interest in associating itself with CofC and will insist that all CofC leave its soil within three days. RCMP has been directed to begin supervising their expulsion.

The United States, Great Britain, and France have already recognized the new government, as has, remarkably, the U.I.N.

Oh dear, It looks like I have missed something here!

However the Karma Government has returned from its Summer break to find the World in turmoil.
Karmanaskis is well positioned with regard to energy, pewter and general food supply save for barley!
The rising cost and possible shortages of quality barley futures is most concerning.

Better get that fixed. Can't brew that 7.62 beer without barley... And you certainly don't want to substitute WHEAT! Wheat beer is AWFUL!

According to international news sources...

With the formerly-in-exile government firmly in control and national policies rapidly being formulated and implemented, life in Canada is returning to what once was normal. The government has scheduled elections to upate its representation and hopefully, get some younger, more diverse people in government. The government is also working hard to return sanity and competence to the national army, with British and French advisors supplementing retired Canadian officers and NCOs from the period prior to New Canada. A board of former senior officers and senior NCOs is formulating the training program, regulations, and policies. Until the newly-elected government is seated, all national and provincial policies in force immediately prior to the illegal formation of New Canada will be considered in force.

Until the national armed forces are re-established, arrangements have been made for Canada to fall under the US North American defense umbrella, with Canada contributing those units it certifies as qualified.

Canada is re-taking its deserved place among nations.

The ROD supports this wholeheartedly. We will maintain our embassy in Ottawa and our consulate in Vancouver, but otherwise we will stay out of the way as Canada gets itself situated.

I have decided to return from exile to help with the rebuilding of my nation of Canada, as a way to atone for my past military and administrative mistakes when I ran it as New Canada. For now and for the foreseeable future, I'll lead this nation again but in a more practical and smart way, in order to earn a second chance to redeem myself. I'll keep my military hardware as is to defend the country, but with the added help from you guys.

Can you properly atone for the loss of an aircraft carrier and a battleship? The EE could have sunk more ships had the desire been there. The crews are gone, too. How can you lead the nation in a more practical and smart way?

The CoC has had discussions with several fromer 'Doms' that have been members of NC. Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nanavut, Alberta and Saskatchewan along with Vancouver Island have expressed interest. Open dialogue is taking place. Graham and Eski are apparently in discussions as well.
British Columbia is not safe either. Of course, any cross transport by Canadian citizens, gov't, and military is open.
.
NC should take the eastern portion of Canada, reduce the size, scale, and scope needs for leadership. Most of the industrial, financial, business and population is located in the eastern portions. The Commonwealth has landed soldier, provided foodstuffs, medicine, etc at various locations. The troops are embarking to leave. DIstrubution is up to the NC and Providinal administrations to facilitate.

I heard that Bear bomers are flying the Atlantic in search of more targets. The CoC has be able to secure an agreement to EE leadership to cease the conflict. The EE is rotating 1 brigade back to EE along with all the bombers in Turkey. Expect that discussions will continue to reduce the number to close to 120 EE soldier in Turkey.

Chris,

Just curious, what method did you use to resolve combat with the NC ships. All I read was your narration that the ships were attacked and sunk. When the carrier was sunk, it was through an actually system to resolve combat. Your narration only stated middles we're launched and ships sunk. Very little in the way of how the NC ships defended themselves.

Combat by creative writing does not seem appropriate, especially when the side you control always victorious... Just saying...

Like what my college Hoth from the RPNW said, this campaign in the Bosporus did not happen as no rules where used. If I was going to attack the EE fleet, I would have asked someone like Redleg to moderate this since he had some Wargaming rulebooks on hand. also we where fighting with imaginary numbers and not with actual models which is a problem for me since 6mm historical minis are very rare to find in Canada :(, so it will take awhile until I built up a actual number of modern minis for my NC (and my Outboard Islands ally) to do any wargaming with.

I am, reluctantly, with Chris on this. The opposition leader had abandoned not only his forces in the field, but all command and control in the national headquarers, as well as government of the nation. CofC was left to resolve the conflict at his own discretion, under no obligation to his opponent, who was AWOL. THAT is what I mean by paying your money and taking your chances. This was yet another example of mechcommander "following in support" of an expedition, promising to give the opposition the beating they so richly deserve, and, upon meeting some obstacle or the slightest opposition, turning tail, abandoning allies and troops to their own devices, screaming for rescue.

This behavior does not warrant even the TITLE of "mechcommander," let alone the responsibilty of leadership and command. Canada might have a chance of pulling itself together if mech weren't trying to reassert his control. As it is, some provinces may succumb to CofC machinations, something that should NOT be permitted and may bring the country into internal conflict. One can hardly blame Canadians for being loathe to resume the burdens of mechcommander's dilatory interference and so-called "government" in their peaceful lives.

The current course will extract catastrophe from disaster for Canada.

And that Panzer is something that will change, no more should I run away from the enemy not even in the slightest, this time Im much more prepared to take on the challenge, as ive used this long downtime to do my own research on basic military tactics though some Field Manuals I found online and videos I watched.

And again like Hoth Said, The creative writing was rather not appropriate, for now on it has to be done with someone moderating with actual wargaming rules.
