Onboard HMCS Ontario enroute to the Pacfic Ocean.
The Ontario is on a course parallel to the RODs Carrier Group 13, this will give the crew a chance to see the ROD ships from a safe distance she will stay on this course until we have to sail down to New Guinea for the next stop on the Global Patrol.

After crossing the Pacific with the ROD Carrier group. HMCS Ontario is proceeding to New Guinea for its next stop on her route.

Meanwhile at home the Prototype Avro 8C VLS launcher is being shipped by rail to CFB Esquimult for a live fire test of the launcher, once it arrives it will be placed on a barge and towed out to its testing grounds off the coast of Clayoqout Sound, it will be loaded with only one sea sparrow for the test. If this launcher is successful, it will be fitted on the future Albany Class Heavy Cruisers.

Off the coast of Clayoqout Sound.

The first live test of the Prototype VLS has ended in a near disastrous failure, when the Sea Sparrow was launched it began to corkscrew out of the VLS and then began to fly towards HMCS Morden, fortunately it missed the corvette and hit the water by a few fleet. Avro will go back to the drawing board to try to figure out what went wrong with the VLS launcher.

However the RCN decided to not to use the VLS on there new Albany class heavy cruiser, instead it will have 4 Mk 143 ABL launchers installed in order to fire Tomahawks.

The NCAF would like to introduce the NC Logistical Corps. This military branch is formed in order to centralize and take full responsibility for all the logistical needs required for the armed forces. This has the added benefit of giving the officers of Army, Navy, and Air Force much needed time to plan out more effective strategies. Logistical officers from this branch are recognized by their dull gray uniforms.

The NCAF is examining the idea of a surgical strike approach, as a means of replacing the old Mass bombardment strategy we used for years, but the question is how does carry out such a thing, and what kind of equipment we should get? Will ask ether the ROD or the Gator State for help.

The RCN has decided to quickly retire the SAGEM Sperwer UAV drone, and replace it with the cheaper mass produced Ryan Lightning Bug UAV based on the Ryan Firebee target drone. It can be launched by ether ship or a specially made Drone carrying aircraft like the recently refitted C-119 Flying Boxcar. they will expect to be in service by early March.

The NC cruiser HMCS Ontario has arrived in Australia to visit their Australian Navy counterparts at their base in Sidney to discuss current events, the cruiser will remain there for a few days.

Meanwhile back home the NC government is attempting to reestablish contact with the RPNW and Karmanaskis.

The NC's Government has signed a bill that bans the Manufacture, procession, and use of all forms of improvised weapons. (Examples include IED, Molotov Cocktails, Pipe bombs etc.) this is an effort to combat organized terrorism, Gang Violence, etc this ban will extend to the NC military forces when they are deployed overseas. This ban will come to effect on Monday.

In preparation for the ban, Improvised Weapons will be removed from the NC Army Field Manual.
