Yes I almost forgot about tactics, I'll try to do better on that but as you its very slow to implement, However what I need is some training. or a NC victory in a military operation to adopt new tactics.

You forgot about tactics? Do you remember how you dropped a bridge across the Suez for no reason? Do you remember "saturation bombardment" (your words) of a densely populated city? That's why Egypt does not want you back in their country.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Yes I do remember doing both of those tactics in Egypt, the reason for dropping the bridge over the Suez was to prevent EE troop movements. And the saturation bombardment was intended to clear out EE positions in the city, before sending in troops to clean up the remaining units. I am still determined to fight aginest the EE.

Both were very poor tactics and both will keep you out of Egypt.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
I recall NC had training. Several times there were training activities and instruction going on over the last several years.
You did fight EE, you were in Greece having wonderful dinners, etc. Then abruptly NC was leaving, your ships were attacked by anti-ship missiles.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
yes they where pretty poor tactics i have to agree, how could I done better?
As you know holding a bridge is often considered a deathtrap for ground forces as its too narrow to properly defend it, an enemy force could easily steam roll over them with little effort.
As for the city, without some way of soften up EE defences from afar, it would have taken along time to clear a urban environment while keeping the city intact.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Mech, evaluate the situation, the results.
Did you listen to advice that was given? Did you follow the advice?
Are you getting any better in your plans? If so, why? How? If not, why not?
As for a bridge. If a bridge is 6 - 8 lanes wide as more recent major bridges frequently are, then you could defend on your side of the river/waterway. As you said a 'deathtrap' the attackers are frequently feeling like they are in a deathtrap. What makes a bridge a deathtrap? What are the characteristics?
Read about Pegasus Bridge. There are others. Band of Brothers attacking on a causeway. Besides you might enjoy the reading.

Despite aginest all odd of the aircraft's shortcomings. the NCAF has made the unanimous decision to order from Lockheed Martin the F-35 jets to serve in the Fleet Air Arm, it seems that the jet has proven its worth.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Mech,
An F-35 without stealth is called an F-15, F-16, F-18... etc etc..etc. I really would recommend you read up on what stealth is. You can no more remove the stealth from the F-35 than you could remove the skin from your body.
Stealth is the ability for a jet to reduce its radar cross section. Stealth aircraft do this through many ways. The first is the contour of the fuselage, wings and Vertical stabilizer. All of which, there is no way your removing those things from the design. The angles of the contour deflects radar waves in directions away from the radar system. The panel lines are such that they do not reflect radar waves back tot he radar system. In addition, there is radar absorbent paint that limits what is projected back to the radar system. Also removing external stores do the same thing. I might be missing a little more but that is the big stuff. What all that does is reduce the radar cross section from the size of a jet to the size of a small bird or bug. If you remove all that, then you really are looking at buying and F-18, F15, Euro fighter or something else of that type. So if you don't want stealth, do not buy a stealth aircraft.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Hoth,
You presented very well, nice evaluation, IMHO.
The US has put some clips or small panels on F-35, as I recall two on each side to make them detectable as they were in the US. Probably overseas as well, until needed. The F-35 is more expensive than the other, older aircraft. The inflation and technology upgrades. But imaginations only have their personal budget. Lower cost, recent F-16, older F-16, F-15 or F/A-18. Aussies selling/sold theirs. But you need some of them of whatever you use. I do have my B-70 Valkerie bombers. I would try to fly them over Gator State, but that crazy guy would shoot them down or at least try. Besides, too far away.
A thought that just popped into my head..... I remember 25 or so years ago a Canadian guy was training at Camp Blanding, in Florida with his unit and others. He had said that he knew Canada was testing the M2 Bradley. He thought they might use it as a 'tank'. I was thinking at the time use them with Leopard C-1, then Canada started to acquire Leopard 2 of various sorts for use and parts, but never deployed the Bradley. So for 20+ years I had a Canadian group with M113, LAV-25, Cougars, Grizzlies, M-2 Bradleys , Leopard C-1 and Leopard 2 (later). Since then reallocated much of it, sold some. Estonia has their M-2 Bradleys, some M-113. Don't recall where the Leopard 1 and 2 went. Gotta find them, put them on the chopping block.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
Thanks Chris,
I think its important to point out, the F-15 is an incredibly capable platform. In combat, I believe it still has not been shot down. 108 kills to know losses. Now I must point out that this is the result of it only being used in a few conflicts. The Gulf War and the Israeli air combat in the Middle east. This air frame continues to be updated and improved.

Re: Canada (Imagi-Nation)
NO... Mech... NO. That makes no sense at all. Absolutely no sense. The cost that you would save would be a fraction of the cost that is not even worth doing... NO!!!!!! Seriously NO!!!! You can't afford Stealth.. than don't buy stealth... NO!!!!

Agreed Hoth the CF-35s stealth features will be retained. however the radar absorption paint will be absent since it being painted in RCN Fleet Air Arm colors.

OMG!,,,,,Gosh, who cares!!?? I guess the paint color matters for your imagination, who knew. You need to roll a die, a 1 or 2 on 6-sided to have paint color of your choice (or reverse it). Just show us a model that you paint up. Paint it bright red or Orange if you’d like.
Some people were training to help, to provide info. The cost is $110M, 135M, or 117million, but you can get on for $12.95 & tax, here.
Why should people keep banging their head to a rock wall, when will I learn?
Mech, God bless you.
….Hoth, you’re doing great. Redleg can give us therapy, counseling and/or a lobotomy.
A lobotomy, or leucotomy, is a form of psychosurgery, a neurosurgical treatment of a mental disorder that involves severing connections in the brain's prefrontal cortex. The surgery causes most of the connections to and from the prefrontal cortex, the anterior part of the frontal lobes of the brain, to be severed.
