Very nice work on those halftracks, Bill!
The decals do make them even better but the painting is superb. Thanks to Dan from FlightDeck Decals for creating these. I am working on some 250 and 251 halftracks myself. They are currently "in-progress".

And the USS Jenkins....
And that completes a DESRON of three Fletchers, actually I just painted the first three of the class.

Great work on those Sdkfz 251 half tracks, Bill. You are definitely making progress on them. I finally got back to painting some of mine that I had started a few months ago. I should have a platoon done soon.
Also very nice work on the USS Jenkins as well. What measure did you use for this one?

Nice half tracks! But no license plates painted on there?! Kidding - your detailing is great.

Thanks a lot Pete and Burt! The Jenkins is measure 21, I painted all three to look the way the would have in roughly early ‘43, late ** CENSORED ** campaign. A picture of Jenkins on navsource, her paint was super heavily weathered.

Great looking destroyers Bill! Every time you post some awesome ship pics it pushes me that much closer to diving into a new part of the hobby that I have no business being in! Well done!

Lol, thanks a lot Red. Give it a shot, can’t hurt. Start small, there are plenty of ships that are great starter pieces.
I finish it humorous Guadalca*nal gets censored, lol.

Re: Bills stuff
Thanks for the info, Bill. Measure 21 was very common in late 42 and into 43. My sources indicate that the Navy Blue color weathered into more of a blue-gray color as the ship was at sea for a while. You did a great job showing the weathering effects here.

Re: Bills stuff
Thanks Pete. For the base coat for MS21, I paint with Luftwaffe uniform blue, then dry brush with a 75%/25% mix of Luftwaffe uniform blue, and intermediate blue. It doesn’t show up well on ships as small as destroyers, and my crap lighting, but the decks are a different shade for 20B.

Re: Bills stuff
Thanks, Bill! When I did my Measure 21 American ships, I used Humbrol RAF Blue as my base. RAF Blue is actually a blue gray color as depicted on RAF uniforms and seems to work pretty well for me.
