Great looking ships all the way around, Bill! Painting that camouflage measure on the DE must have been lots of "fun". I have access to a lot of the various measures and even have a selection of U.S.N. WWII camouflage paint chips presented to me by my good friend, Begemot. One of these days.....

Thanks a lot Pete. It actually isn’t too bad, just an initial coat to get things approximate, then a second coat to get lines straight, and and corners square. A really good reference site for these is http://www.usndazzle.com/index.php

Hi Bill! I have used that site before, most notably when I painted the DE Evarts for the GHQ catalog a few years back. It is a great site if you are painting American WWII ships.

Some more BEF. When I put the ground cover on, I accidentally covered the lower legs of the guy down with dirt, oops. I'm going with the narrative a shell just exploded behind them.
And another stand of Federal infantry, mix of Cracker Line and Pendraken.

Great looking stuff, Bill! Do the Pendraken and Cracker Line mix pretty well then? I have lots of GHQ Civil War figures still to paint but I want to add a bit of variety to the stands as you have.

Re: Bills stuff
Thanks a lot Pete! After looking at the pictures, I realized I forgot to brush some loose ground foam off the ACW figures when I finished basing, taken care of now, took two seconds. They all mix really well, the heights are good. The main difference is GHQ are much thinner such as limbs and faces, and Pendraken are more heroic scale, with CL being in the middle. They all have little differences like CL rifles have barrel bands and GHQ don’t, I like that Pendraken flag bearers are casted with poles, but CL you have to make your own…..minor stuff. In the end, they all compliment each other really well and make for some dynamic bases that don’t all look the same.
