Went the way of Wehrmacht '47 with the Christmas funds, picking up the set of Maus tanks and the T95 and T30 for the Americans (to be painted, not pictured). I also picked up this Rammtiger from Shapeways, it was such an amusing concept for an armored vehicle that I wanted to grab one. Perfect for an 'escort the battering ram' scenario.
Also picked up the pdf for Micro Squad so I can actually put these miniatures I've been grabbing to good use!
I just finished a pack of AS90s, and I was very excited because I put a black wash on them and then a brown wash to make them look dusty and dirty. But when I took some pics of them they don’t look like they ever received a wash at all! I’m blaming it on the poor weather we are having today that is certainly messing with my natural light. It’s either that or I just suck as doing washes!
I didn’t have any specific unit in mind for these howitzers, I just grabbed a pack because I need more artillery. MORE ARTILLERY!!!! But now that I have some guns, I need to do a full battery. Does anyone have a good reference for British SP artillery? I know they run with 8-gun batteries, but 1 or 2 FDC tracks? How many trucks?
Find good info on the Brit artillery by doing a search for "modern British artillery battery organization.". You could substitute " battalion" for "battery.". Look at the images and make sure you are looking at an illustration for the CURRENT organization, or you will end up with one that includes horse holders.

PG knows the first hand.
When he moved to artillery, he had to have the section commander and battery commanders order their men to hold the reins. PG said one holder for 4 houses unless a team with limber.
Just reporting as he told me.
The 3rd Monaco Div, these were recently acquired to add to the division.

You should expect a TANK to deliver a large steel suppository to your address in the near future.

I painted up some German squads; both GHQ and 2D6. The GHQ ones are better in detail for sure, although I like the 2D6 poses. It’s too bad they’re closing up shop at the end of the month.
Man, my iPhone camera sucks. Each squad has an NCO and a LMG team.
I finished up a pack of PzH 2000s today. Same thing with these guns in that I put a brown wash on them that looks really cool on the table but doesn't show up in the photo. These are joining my British and French SP guns, so apparently I am building a NATO multi-national artillery unit!

Great looking infantry, rhabstclair! It is always nice to see how people do their infantry.
Great looking guns, Redleg! You might just have to create an artillery division. I have a fair number of artillery pieces in my GHQ collection, especially WWII but also some Cold War era Modern as well. I may just have to get some painted up one of these days.
