Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
Mike, glad you like the gunboat.
On FB, some asked me what I base. Usually it is a special stand/unit.
Here are a few examples, usually command and communication group.

Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
Just finished painting these up, kitbash as desired.
The two are JLTV with weapon station added.
Trucks just acquired, repainting.
M113 with M.G. bucket added.
M113A3 with different weapons. I probably need a few more paint swipes.

Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
Thank you Mike.
You have a picture above of the FMTV 5-ton Tanker.
Here are two of them repainted along w/M925 and Hemtt tanker.
These are kitbashed to be M2A3 w/out ERA, having M2A3 turret and M2A2 hull.
These three are Bradley FIST, kitbash with M2A3 hull, the turret is from M6 Linebacker with Styrene cut and glued to serve as the targeting system.
That will do it for now.

Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
Need to send these to PG. The JLTV, to replace Hummvs in many roles.
Oh no, They will be armed. Will drive up to the border of Gator State … then … STOP. That is if the US will allow us to enter, then do that.

Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
WIP
Older M1 Abrams, I use these as M1A1
These have a bit too much black, IMO.
I picked these 4 M1A1 in a large group. These four do not have a stem. So ordered 4mm magnets. I had to shave out some of the hull so they would fit, I may try 3mm magnets at some point.
Glued the magnets where the stem should have been. There was a hole through to the top of the turret that I covered with small piece of paper glued to the top deck. As you can see two of the magnets ‘got’ glued in the turret bustle. Will try these two again.

Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
Four M1A1 tanks with batteries attached to the turret to serve as the stem of the turret.
In MERDC.
The holes are covered and painted over. To the port side of the commander’s hatch and sighting system.
M-ATV Mortar carriers prepared to fire. Armed w/120mm mortar.

Re: Chrisswim Stuff.
Another group in MERDC, It seems that each group has a different style/technique. Within each group there are similarities.
Probably my last group of the older Abrams, out of the components.
I like the look of this group better than my last group, although it may be further away from the instruction painting manual…..oh well. But it was completed in a remote paint shop by armor drivers, loaders and gunners. What do you expect … perfection… haha.
