Re: Pete's Place
Here is the WWII German Heavy Cruiser, Admiral Hipper, that I painted for GHQ a few years ago. She is shown in one of her 1942 schemes with yellow turret tops for aerial recognition.

Beautiful indeed.
I didn't know the deck had been painted, looks like field grey?

Re: Pete's Place
Thank you very much, Redleg, Burt, Foxbat, and Chris! I appreciate it very much.
Foxbat - The deck is actually a brown wood color although it may look sort of Field Gray in the photo. Most of the illustrations I have seen show the decks of German ships being a bit darker wood color than those of some other nations. I know the British holistoned their decks periodically which gave them a fresher look.

Re: Pete's Place
Sand Wars is coming up this Saturday and I am preparing. It should be fun and I am looking forward to it.
I am looking to do some Arab-Israeli War games in the near future using Fistful of TOWs 3 as my main rules set. In that set, each stand represents a platoon or sometimes a half company. I have some Egyptians and Israelis for the '67 and '73 Wars done so far. I will start adding some more vehicles in the near future but I actually have enough to do a small game.
Here are some pictures of what I have. I basically have an Egyptian tank brigade of T54/55s and a couple Israeli tank battalions, one of M-48s and one of Magach 3s.

Pete,
Awesome thanks, as always. Couple of days till we meet face to face. Looking forward to playing with your museum pieces. FYI, I have no experience with the rule set you are using. So I will be fumbling.

Re: Pete's Place
Thanks very much, Gazza, Chris, and Hoth!
I look forward to meeting you in person, Hoth, as well as Redleg. Don't worry about the rules for Mein Panzer. I designed the scenario to teach the basics of the game and hopefully provide a fun experience as well.
Gazza, I may venture into the Jordanians at some point as well. For now I will concentrate on the Sinai Front but the Jordanian Front in 1967 has some potential also.

I finished the last 3 of my Panzer IVF1s today. I now have 9 Panzer IVF1s and 8 Panzer IVF2s for my Afrika Korps. I have 1 more Panzer II in the works for my 4th Company.
Here are a few pictures of my Panzer IVF1s.

Re: Pete's Place
These are pieces are awesome. I was never a huge fan of the short 75 on the PZIV, but I am starting to come around. After seeing yours and the few I have painted up, I am in and may be several more

Thanks very much, Hoth and Redleg! I appreciate it.
I look forward to seeing both of you at Sand Wars on Saturday. White gloves not necessary but clean hands are appreciated of course. I will be bringing more than just my North Africa stuff. I will be bringing some other terrain, buildings and vehicles as well.
