Just checked out the new releases. GHQ is certainly putting out some beautiful sculps. I am definitely going to get some of the Stryker M-SHORAD, T-72 With KMT-7 Minerollers, and maybe some Arleigh Burke Flight IIIs in the future. Thanks GHQ for great quality products. The new releases got me thinking (a dangerous and expensive thing). How are the Stryker M-SHORADs deployed? Is it a battalion asset or a brigade asset? What type of artillery did the Voroshilovets Tracked Truck typically tow?

PS @GHQ, I like that you did both a canvas top and a non-canvas top option.

The Army is developing a new maneuver short-range air defense system, or M-SHORAD, to perform short-range air defense (SHORAD). The Army defines SHORAD as capabilities that provide air defense against low-altitude air threats. In the early 2000s, the Army divested SHORAD units from Army force structure to free up personnel to create other types of units deemed more mission-critical at the time. After 2005, SHORAD force structure was reduced to two battalions of Active Component Avenger systems and Counter-Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (C-RAM) batteries and seven Army National Guard Avenger battalions.
Since 2005, there has been a dramatic increase in air and missile platforms that could threaten U.S. ground forces. The use of unmanned aerial systems (UASs) has increased exponentially and UASs have been used successfully in a variety of conflicts, including the current Ukrainian conflict. Given the increase in threat and limited air defense assets available to Army divisions, the Army decided to improve the air defense posture of its maneuver forces.
M-SHORAD Requirement
In response to the growing aerial threat, the Army originally planned to field 144 M-SHORAD Increment 1 systems to four battalions and could field additional battalions in the future. Each M-SHORAD battalion would consist of 40 M- SHORAD systems, support vehicles and equipment, and about 550 soldiers. In April 2021, the 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment received the first four of its M- SHORAD systems, becoming fully equipped in late 2022. In addition to the 144 systems designated for operational units, the Army planned to procure 18 additional systems for training, operational spares, and testing, for a total of 162 systems. Reportedly, as of June 2024, the Army envisions building about 312 M-SHORAD systems but that number could increase to as many as 361 “based on future Army decisions,” but, at present, the Army only has approval for 162 systems.
M-SHORAD Variants/Increments
Initially, there were three M-SHORAD variants, or “Increments,” planned by the Army.

I will be picking up some Sdkfz 253s and the Voroshilovets tractors. I know there have been some out there, including myself, that have been looking for more Russian artillery tractors. Thanks, GHQ!

I will buying two or three packs of Voroshilovets tractors (with canvas top), and two or three packs without canvas top. It's a very important artillery tractor : very nice to tow the russian 203mm howitzer, the russian 152mm gun, and very nice in german colors too in the eastern front !
The SdKfz 253 is very nice too but as I play only 43-45 (for now) it's not for me.

Has any thought been given to producing 1/2400th scale kits of WWII monitors like HMS Abercrombie and HMS Roberts? I have had to kit-bash / build one of my own out of spare parts. I'm thinking that there are folks out there that would not mind adding something like this to their collection.

Yes. I think these would be a great addition to the Micronauts line of WW2 ships. These monitors both had massive 15" main guns. HMS Roberts participated in several important invasions in WW2 including providing bombardment for Operation Torch in North Africa and D Day and Sicily invasions. I also have models in 1/2400 scale that were heavily customized, but would love to see these made by GHQ.

HMS Erebus and HMS Terror were two other 15" gunned monitors the British also used in WW2 for several bombardment missions in Pacific and Med. Terror was scuttled off of North Africa due to aircraft bombings and Erebus was very active and was scrapped in 1946 post WW2. Rumor has it that one of her 15" barrels was used in HMS Vangaurd, Bitians last battleship built.

These two would also be welcomed models in 1/2400 scale by GHQ. Very unique ships.

I added two votes for WWII-era UK monitor Roberts-class and one vote for WWII-era UK monitor Erebus-class (~1940 modifications). Roberts-class now has 8 votes in the Consolidated Micronaut Wish List, tied for 349th place. Erebus-class now has 11 votes, tied for 180th place.
