The T-34s on the east side fired at the Tigers, now at a range of about 1,000 yards. They scored 2 hits out of 4 shots. 1 hit on each Tiger. One hit bounced off the frontal armor. The second hit on the second Tiger hit and forced the Tiger back.
Both Tigers fired scoring 4 hits out of 4 shots. The Tiger hits penetrated the T-34 frontal armor and destroyed each T-34.

While this panzergrenadier company held its own, the Russians charged the dug in German infantry and forced them out of their foxholes/trenches.
Image

On the west side, both T-34s fired on the approaching Panthers at a range of approximately 650 yards. On the lead Panther, the frontal armor was penetrated by the 85mm HVAP round. But the second Panther was missed.
Image

Same picture but with the T-34s in focus and burning. The Panthers fired 4 rounds at the 2 T-34s and scored 3 hits. Both T-34s were destroyed.

That is where the battle was called. All Russian armored units were eliminated but one. That T-34 was immobilized. The Russian infantry were gaining control of the town as the panzergrenadiers withdrew.
The German panzers arrived late but stopped the Russian advance and only lost a platoon of Panthers.

The Germans won a major victory. While the Russians captured the north portion of the town, they didn’t capture the entire town. Nor did they eliminate enough German platoons to score enough points. While the Russians gained control of the town, they also lost all of their armored assets. So the attack would have ground to a halt without armored support. The best the Russians could hope for was to dig in and defend the town from a German counterattack. If the battle was played out until the end, the town would have been completely secured and it would have resulted in a German minor victory.

The German panzers helped secure the victory, while arriving late, by stopping the attack and destroying all of the Russian tanks.

Thank you sir! I like them tbh. At this scale… not a bad representation. Now that the proof of concept is complete… I want to make more.

Very nice terrain, and great AAR. Tough for the Soviets to win against the Panzers indeed,

That is a great AAR with great pictures, Polish GI! I am glad to see you getting back into the swing of things and this game looks like a great start not to mention your other projects. I hope to see more here soon.

Thank you Pete. Trying to get back into the swing of things. 2025 needs to have new priorities. Lol And gaming, modeling and reading should keep me in the house and out of the public eye. Lol

Thank you! I ended up swearing at the first cornfield with the time it took. I have 2 more in progress currently. Thinking about something in the future with Operation Jupiter and cornfields…

Working on getting organized with my stuff. Along the way of sorting out my terrain and putting it in storage bins for like items, I noticed a few hexes were damaged. So this is more of a repair/touchup type setup. Some fields…

Started work on some older farms I bought back in the day. This one was sunk into the hex, mounted and primered. (white later) There are two others that are currently drying. I hope to photo them in the near future.

Worked on a railroad strand that I have been wanting to do. Prior to this, I did not have the ability to have a dirt road intersect a line of railroad. Now I can.

Cornfields are coming along nicely. Starting to multiply. I added another step to the cornstalks in the form of a black wash to “tone” down the yellow color and add variation among the field. I like it.

I needed a batch of T-34s for the Germans. (e.g. Kursk 1943) So here are some 3d (resin) printed PzKw T-34 - 747r. I will need to touch up a small part of the rear tracks.

Great looking stuff, Polish GI! Usually, a blackwash helps as with your cornfields. Those look excellent!

Thanks Pete. Yeah, the wash assisted nicely.

Some more WIP pics of repaired fields and some older farms I had lying around. May add some trees to the farm hexes…

Good place for a defensive machine gun to cover. Or perhaps a minefield… (Kellys Heroes)
